We want to share a heartfelt THANK YOU to the dedicated Volunteer Puppy Raisers who give ADH pups such a wonderful start throughout their first year of life. Families bring these puppies into their homes and work closely with ADH Trainers to expose them to new experiences, teach valuable skills, and ensure that the puppies return to campus prepared for Advanced Training. ❤️ This is such an important step in each dog’s journey to becoming an Assistance Dog. We could not do it without you!

Follow along as the H & I girls take on their next big adventure! 🐾

Thank you to the dedicated Volunteer Puppy Raisers who have supported these pups’ journey’s throughout the past year. If you are interested in becoming a Volunteer Puppy Raiser, please find the Volunteer Form on assistancesogshawaii.org.

Back to school! 🐾 ✍ Wishing our School Facility Dogs Teams a great first week!

Did you know? School Facility Dogs are proven to support children in addressing their academic and socio-emotional learning needs. Benefits include increased attendance, enhanced motivation, greater confidence, stronger relationships, improved literacy and an overall reduction of learner anxiety.

Chaplain George Scott from Punahou School shares this about School Facility Dog Cedar: "Cedar synchronizes with people’s emotions. She synchronizes with joy or sadness and helps dissipate raw emotion. Cedar can turn a situation in another direction and give a child hope.”
