Not all Pilates classes are created equal — and honestly, that can be confusing when you're just trying to find something that works for you. 💛

Pilates has grown so much in popularity over the years, which is wonderful! More movement, more options, more people discovering how good their bodies can feel. But with that growth comes a lot of variety — and not every class labeled "Pilates" is built the same way.

Real Pilates is intentional. It's built around alignment, breath, and a qualified instructor who's fully present with you — watching, guiding, and meeting you exactly where you are that day. Every movement has a purpose. Every person in the room matters.

If you've ever walked out of a class feeling unsure whether you got the real thing, you're not alone — and you're not wrong to ask the question.

The best part of my job? Watching someone fall in love with how their body feels. 🌿

It usually happens a few weeks in. A client walks through the door and something's just... different. They're standing a little taller. Smiling a little easier. They feel it — and honestly, I feel it too. That moment never gets old.

I'm Jean, the owner of Gather Pilates & Gather Dance Studio. More than anything, I love introducing people to Pilates and watching what happens when they start to feel at home in their own bodies. The confidence that builds — it's real. And it doesn't matter where you're starting from. Your experience level, your fitness level, what your body has been through — Pilates has a way of meeting you exactly where you are.

I found Pilates as part of my own healing journey. I was immediately hooked. It made me feel stronger, more balanced, and more connected. I now hold two comprehensive Pilates certifications, including Polestar Pilates — which is rooted in a rehabilitative approach — and that perspective shapes everything I bring into the studio.
