Miami DDA The Miami Downtown Development Authority grows & strengthens the economic health of Downtown Miami.

The Miami Downtown Development Authority (DDA) is committed to improving the quality of life for businesses, employees, residents, and visitors in downtown Miami. As an independent agency of the City of Miami, the Miami DDA supports business growth, infrastructure improvements, and services for Downtown Miami residents and stakeholders. In addition to its programs and initiatives, the Miami DDA is partnering with the City and other government entities to strengthen Downtown Miami’s position as an international center for commerce, culture, and tourism. The organization is governed by a 15-member board comprised of three public appointees and 12 downtown property owners, residents and/or workers. The Miami DDA Business Incentive Grant Program provides funding to support eligible businesses that are opening, expanding or relocating within the Miami DDA District.
 
Grants are available for:
 
* Retail
* Food & Beverage
* Tech Start-Ups
* Mid-Size Businesses

The Retail Grant provides up to $50K to support eligible businesses that add to Downtown Miami’s retail experience.

Eligible businesses can apply for up to $75K through the Food & Beverage Grant.

The Miami DDA is excited to officially open the doors to our new Flagler Street office! 🎉

Located at 207 E Flagler Street, our new space brings us closer to the community we serve and creates a dedicated place to welcome residents, businesses and visitors as we continue working to strengthen the District.

The office is also the new home of our Permit Clinic, held every Thursday from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., providing entrepreneurs and business owners with one-on-one guidance as they navigate the permitting process.

The Miami Downtown Development Authority (Miami DDA) has one available seat on its Board of Directors. This is an opportunity to contribute to the continued growth, economic development, and quality of life of Downtown Miami.

Interested candidates are invited to review the Board of Directors prerequisites and submit a letter of interest and resume no later than October 20, 2026.

Today, our Acting Executive Director, MJ Green, joined the conversation at Soccerex for the FC Barcelona Panel in the Americas, exploring how global brands are building meaningful partnerships and creating new opportunities across the Americas. With FC Barcelona’s new home in Miami, the conversation also highlighted Miami’s growing role as a gateway for international business, partnerships, and fan engagement.

Keeping our Magic City clean, together.

Thank you to everyone who came out for International Coastal Cleanup Day and helped make a difference right here in the DDA District.

From Bayfront Park to the Baywalk, our community showed up to protect one of Miami’s most important natural assets. Together, volunteers collected trash and reminded us that keeping our city beautiful is something we all have a role in.

A special thank you to our community partners HUMANITY CARES Brickell Homeowners Assoc. along with all of the volunteers and organizations who came out to support the effort.

When we walk Downtown, we see what needs attention.

During a recent Block Walk in Brickell with Miami DDA Chairman Ralph Rosado we identified a support cable at 5 SW 11 St. that needed attention. We notified Florida Power & Light and the repair has been completed.

Block Walks give us an opportunity to see firsthand what’s happening in our neighborhoods and address issues when we can.
