Sometimes, the thought that feels the most convincing isnโt necessarily the most accurate ๐ง
When weโre stressed, our brain shifts into protection mode. It starts looking for danger, filling in the blanks, and preparing for what could go wrong. That can make an assumption feel like a fact, or turn one difficult moment into a worst-case scenario.
The next time you notice your thoughts spiraling, pause before you react.
Ask yourself:
โจ Is this a fact or an interpretation?
โจ Am I thinking in extremes?
โจ Am I predicting something I canโt know yet?
โจ Is this thought helping me or holding me back?
โจ Could there be another explanation?
You donโt have to believe every thought that crosses your mind. Sometimes, creating a little space is enough to see things differently.
Your brain is trying to protect you. You can also teach it to pause.
Which question helps you most when your thoughts start to spiral?
