New Service Alert-- Say farewell to unwanted + bothersome hairs forever!
Okay, it’s official — electrolysis has arrived at BrowDown Beauty.
If you’ve been fighting the same stubborn hairs over and over again, dealing with hormonal facial hair, chin hairs that have somehow become part of your daily routine, or ingrowns from constantly shaving and tweezing… this one is for you.
Electrolysis is the only FDA-recognized method of permanent hair removal — and one of the best parts is that it works for EVERYONE.
EVERY SKIN TONE. EVERY HAIR COLOR.
Electrolysis doesn't rely on the contrast between pigment in your hair and pigment in your skin. Instead, a tiny sterile probe is inserted into the natural opening of each individual hair follicle and a small amount of electrical energy is used to destroy the cells responsible for producing that hair.
Because we're treating the follicle itself, electrolysis can be performed on:
All skin tones and types — from very fair to very deep skin tones.
All hair colors — black, brown, blonde, red, gray and white.
Different hair types and textures — from fine, light hairs to coarse, stubborn growth.
So if you've ever been told your hair is too light for laser, or you've wondered whether your skin tone makes permanent hair removal an option for you — electrolysis may be exactly what you've been looking for.

WHY WEEKLY APPOINTMENTS?
Here's the thing about hair: it's all on its own schedule.
Every follicle cycles through periods of active growth, transition and rest, so all of the hair in an area isn't actively growing and visible at the same time.
That's why weekly appointments are recommended in the beginning. Staying consistent allows us to catch and treat new hairs as they move through their growth cycles.
As we work through those cycles and fewer hairs are returning, you'll need me less and less. Appointments can gradually become shorter and/or be spaced farther apart.
Think of electrolysis as a gradual process of elimination: less hair, less often, until we're done.
A FEW THINGS TO KNOW
Electrolysis is a process, not a one-and-done treatment. Your overall timeline will depend on the treatment area, density and type of hair growth, hormones, previous hair-removal methods and consistency with your appointments.
And one very important rule:
Put. The. Tweezers. Down.
We need the hair and follicle available to treat, so you'll want to avoid plucking and waxing the treatment area between appointments. Trimming or shaving is okay when needed — just leave enough growth before your appointment for me to see and grasp the hair.
No more plucking the same chin hair for the next 20 years.
Electrolysis appointments are officially open for booking at BrowDown Beauty.
See you soon,
