September is National Recovery Month and National Su***de Prevention Month—a time to remind our community that recovery is possible, hope is real, and no one has to face life’s challenges alone. 💜🩵

Recovery looks different for everyone. Whether someone is healing from a mental health challenge, substance use disorder, or another difficult chapter, every step forward matters.

Throughout September, CLCHC will share recovery stories, helpful resources, information about medication-assisted treatment and behavioral health services, and ways we can support one another without shame or judgment.

Today, August 31, we recognize International Overdose Awareness Day. 💜

Today is a time to remember the lives lost to overdose, support the families and communities affected, and continue working together to prevent future tragedies.

Overdose can affect anyone, and every life is worth saving. At Celebrating Life Community Health Center, we are committed to reducing stigma and providing compassionate, judgment-free care and resources to those who need them.

💜 CLCHC is a Naloxone Distribution Drop-In Site. Naloxone (Narcan) can quickly reverse an opioid overdose and save a life.

🚨 Proposition 44 could put access to community healthcare at risk.

Prop. 44 would require nonprofit community health centers to spend at least 90% of their annual revenue on qualifying program services. While that may sound reasonable, the measure could restrict how health centers invest in essential operations that make patient care possible—including technology, facility improvements, administrative support, workforce development, and other critical resources.

Community health centers are already highly regulated and undergo regular audits and financial reporting. Additional restrictions and penalties could force clinics to reduce services, eliminate jobs, delay improvements, or even close—making it harder for patients to access medical, dental, behavioral health, and other essential care.
