One of the deepest wounds many people carry is not a lack of love.

It’s the feeling that they never fully received what they needed.

I have worked with people of all ages whose inner child is still quietly waiting to be seen, heard, protected, understood, or cherished.

These younger parts do not disappear simply because we grow older.

They remain within us, influencing how we love, lead, receive, trust, and show up in the world.

In this Sunday Service message at Unity of Santa Barbara, I shared a story about my beloved dog Mercedes and the profound love she awakened within me.

It was a reminder that healing does not arrive through effort.

💜Sometimes it arrives through an experience of love so pure that it opens something we thought had been closed forever.

For many awakening souls, healers, and conscious leaders, the next stage of growth is not learning more.

It is lovingly meeting the parts of ourselves that still believe they never received what they needed.

This is sacred work.

🙏🏻And it is part of what we’ll be exploring together in my upcoming Spiritual Awakening Class on June 24. (link in comment below to register)

If you still sense a younger part of you longing for something it never received, perhaps this is your invitation to go deeper.

Love is not passive.

It is transformative.

This Sunday at Unity of Santa Barbara, I’ll be sharing both the meditation and morning message during the 10 AM service:

✨ The Transformative Power of Love: Healing Through Connection

Together, we’ll explore the sacred nature of love as a force that softens fear, dissolves separation, and reconnects us to one another and to the deeper truth of who we are.

Healing does not happen in isolation.

Each act of compassion…
Each opening of the heart…
Each moment of kindness creates a ripple far beyond what we can see.

Love has the power to transform pain into purpose, isolation into belonging, and fear into hope.

You are warmly welcome to join us in person or through the livestream.

At a certain point on the path, awakening stops being about seeking.

It becomes about embodiment.

About how fully we are willing to live the truths we already know.

For healers, conscious leaders, visionaries, and those devoted to transformation, the real work is often subtle.

Remaining open when the world hardens.

Choosing coherence when chaos pulls at the nervous system.

Remembering unity while moving through systems built on separation.

This is why inner work matters at every level.

Not because we are trying to “fix” ourselves… Rather, because the quality of our presence impacts the collective field far more than we realize.

One regulated nervous system shifts a room.

One embodied truth alters relationships.

One awakened heart creates ripples beyond what can be measured.

The soul does not awaken only for itself.

It awakens in service to the whole.

✨ What truth are you being asked to embody more fully right now?

So much of the world teaches us to focus outward first.

Fix the system. Change the world. Fight the division.

And yet real transformation begins somewhere far quieter.

Within.

Every time we choose healing over reaction… presence over numbness… love over fear… something shifts not only within us, but within the collective field we all share.

This is the deeper truth of awakening:

Your inner work matters.

The way you regulate your nervous system matters. The way you speak to others matters. The way you heal old wounds matters.

Because transformation ripples.

One healed heart changes relationships. Families. Communities. And eventually, the world itself.

This article explores the connection between personal awakening and collective unity, and why individual transformation is never only personal.

What a beautiful day in Ojai last weekend.

I had the honor of opening the Ojai World Dance Festival with a community intention, sponsoring the third annual gathering, and spending the day connecting with so many wonderful souls at our booth.

💜There was such a sweetness to this festival.

A genuine, open-hearted energy that you could feel throughout the day.

The meditation was so lovingly received.

I had people come up afterward with their hands on their hearts, sharing how meaningful and supportive it felt. Moments like that stay with you.

There is something powerful about being in a space where art, movement, and culture bring people together so naturally.

The spirit of this festival is rooted in something we deeply need right now…

Connection across cultures, generations, and lived experiences.

In a time where division can feel loud, spaces like this remind us of what is still possible.

Unity.

Celebration.

Understanding.

Through dance, music, and shared presence, there is a return to something simple and true… that we are not separate from one another.

It was such a joy to meet so many of you, to share in conversation, and to feel the energy of community throughout the day.

And the dancing…

So much joy, laughter, and movement.

It truly felt like the most beautiful Mother’s Day gift.

Grateful to be part of something that is creating a ripple of connection and appreciation that extends far beyond one event.

Thank you to everyone who made this day so meaningful 🤍

“Our vulnerability is our greatest superpower.”

There is something that happens when we allow ourselves to be seen in what is real.

Not polished.

Not perfect.

But honest.

In this conversation, I share a glimpse into the journey of mothering, being mothered, and the healing that becomes possible when vulnerability is met with compassion.

We do not always know what our mothers carried.

We do not always understand their inner world until we are willing to listen, to soften, and to see them more fully.

And in that space… something shifts.

The connection deepens.

The healing begins.

The union becomes more true.

This is the work.

Not always easy.

But deeply liberating and nourishing.

My mother, Dr. Nancy O’Reilly, and I both share our stories in Sacred Bonds: Heartfelt Stories of Mothers and the Lives They Shape.

Her chapter, The Love We Learned, and mine, The Alchemy of Forgiveness: Catalyst to Our Souls’ Awakening, reflect two sides of a journey that continues to unfold.

If this speaks to you, I invite you to explore the book.

What happens when a community comes together in celebration?

Movement.

Music.

Culture.

Connection.

The Ojai World Dance Festival 2026 is a full day of global artistry and community, bringing together dancers, musicians, and creatives from across Southern California.

✨ I’m honored to open the festival with a short meditation on the main stage at 11:05 AM, creating a moment to pause, ground, and arrive before the day unfolds.

Some energy lands differently… it carries the truth of what was truly felt.

Lea, thank you for your beautiful testimony 🤍

Your words reflect something so real about what unfolded in that space.

There is something that happens when you allow yourself to fully arrive.

Not just physically… but with your heart open, your guard softened, your presence here.

This space holds that.

Not through force.
Not through trying.

Instead, through a gentle unfolding into what is already within you.

What you’ll feel in this video is not just one person’s experience…
it’s a glimpse into what becomes possible when we gather in this way.

Connection.
Clarity.
A return to something deeper.

✨ What did you feel as you watched this?

05/01/2026

There is a moment in each day that asks nothing of you…

only that you pause.

In this space, we return to the simplest truth.

The presence within you has never left.

The *Divine I Am Journey* is not about becoming something new.

It is about remembering.

Softening back into the luminous presence of your own soul.

Breath by breath.

Layer by layer.

A gentle opening into clarity, healing, and inner union.

And even the birds seem to join in…
their song is a quiet reminder of the rhythm of life, of presence, of simply being.

Even here, you can feel it.

The stillness.

The grounding.

The quiet life moving all around you… and within you.

✨ Are you taking time for a daily pause to reconnect with your soul?
