YALL IM SO EXCITED!! Im hosting a $25 Birth Ready Workshop September 25th-26th at CR8TVE dance studio. This workshop is PERFECT if a doula is not in your budget but you want education about the natural physiology of labor and birth AND you want your partner to be prepared to be your doula for you. The entire class is hands-on and super in depth. Please share with all your pregnant friends looking for education. I really hope to see some of yall there. It’s always a fun time!!

One of my favorite things to encourage expecting parents to do is find an affirmation, scripture, mantra, or phrase that truly means something to you, something you can hold onto when labor gets intense.

This mama chose a scripture that she repeated throughout her entire labor, all the way through pushing. Over and over again, she came back to the same words.

And I watched her use them as an anchor when things got hard. That’s the kind of affirmation I want you to find. Something that feels like yours. Something you believe. Something you can repeat when you’re tired, overwhelmed, scared, or wondering if you can keep going.

Find your words. Write them down. Practice saying them. Let them become familiar before you ever need them.

A VBAC isn’t something you can promise someone. Birth doesn’t come with guarantees. But every mama deserves the opportunity to be heard, informed, supported, and believed in when pursuing the birth they hope for.

And witnessing the moment where she realized just how powerful she is, is why I love my job.
