Two hands, one plate, and a milestone five years in the making. 🦋
Five years ago, a stroke changed the way Tomiko's right hand and arm worked. Everyday tasks that used to be automatic, like cutting her own food, suddenly took real effort and adaptation.
Earlier this year, Tomiko came to NeuroAnimation with a clear goal to improve her arm function.
Through her program, she started reintroducing her affected hand into daily tasks, like making lunch at home.
Now, since her program, she goes out at a restaurant, using both hands to cut her food ag*in. No adjustments, no assistance. Just her and a fork and knife, doing what used to feel impossible.
This is what neuroplasticity-based recovery looks like in real life.
