Flurries Unified All Stars Cheerleading & Dance and Southcoast Storm II are VERY excited about the delivery that arrived today!

A lot of planning went into making this happen, and seeing it finally here definitely called for a picture. 💜

We can’t wait to get everything set up, put it to use, and share it with all of our athletes.

📚✏️ HERE’S TO A GREAT SCHOOL YEAR! ✏️📚

As back-to-school season gets underway, we’re wishing all of our Flurries Unified All Stars Cheerleading & Dance athletes, Flutter Unified All Stars Athletics athletes, volunteers, and friends a happy, safe, and amazing school year! 💜🧡

We hope this year brings new friendships, lots of learning, plenty of fun, and so many moments to be proud of.

We also have to give a special shoutout to our very own Coach Kerrie, who is starting this school year with an exciting new title — Assistant Principal! 🎉 We are so proud of her and can’t wait to cheer her on in this new chapter.

The real question is… do we think Coach Kerrie will actually send us a first-day picture? 😂📸 We know how well she’s been doing with pictures lately, so we’re not getting our hopes up. 😆

Coach Khloe doesn’t start until tomorrow, so for today we’re throwing it WAY back to her first day of kindergarten. 🥹 And somehow… senior year starts tomorrow! 💜

This week looked a little like medals, cheer music, popsicles, coffee dates, and a whole lot of reasons to smile. 🧡💜❤️

🏈 Flutter Unified All Stars Athletics wrapped up our very first flag football season with another EPIC Flutter Cup! Our inaugural flag football season was made possible through the generous support of the United Way of Greater New Bedford, and we are so grateful they helped us bring another new sport to our athletes. 🧡

This season, we all learned a brand-new sport together — and honestly, that may have been one of our favorite parts.

We learned together.
We laughed together.
We celebrated touchdowns with some pretty impressive touchdown dances. 😂
And we discovered that pulling the other team’s flags might be just as much fun as scoring.

But the best part? Watching the growth and confidence in our athletes from Week 1 to the very end. That kind of progress deserves to be celebrated — with medals, popsicles, lots of proud moments, and of course plenty of photo ops with the legendary Flutter Cup trophy. 🏆🧡

📣 Flurries Unified All Stars Cheerleading & Dance Cheer teams had their second practice and we officially started learning our routines!

After spending more hours than we would like to admit listening to cheer music over and over again 😂, it was SO much fun to finally share this season’s songs with our cheerleaders and their families.

We started working on our opening motions, and little by little, the routines are beginning to take shape. There is something so fun about finally seeing the ideas we’ve been planning behind the scenes start coming to life with our athletes on the mat. We absolutely love this part of the season. 💜

📚 Rie’s Readers is also busy behind the scenes working on our next season of Pages of Possibilities — and this year we’re especially excited to be incorporating books from local authors into our bundle!

And there’s another little piece making us extra grateful: Hannah’s niece Lily — aka our illustrator — has officially moved to Massachusetts. ❤️ Which means brainstorming our big project no longer has to happen completely from afar… and can now include actual in-person coffee dates, catching up, sketching ideas, and probably talking about books for much longer than originally planned. ☕📖

One organization. One mission. And so many different ways to create opportunities, celebrate growth, and bring people together.

From the football field, to the cheer mat, to the pages of a book, we’re incredibly grateful for every way this mission continues to grow.

Because we are better together. 🧡💜❤️

🏆🧡 IT’S TIME TO TALK ABOUT THE FLUTTER CUP! 🧡🏆

You may have noticed Coach Hannah has been driving around with a giant trophy buckled into the backseat 😂 — but what exactly is the Flutter Cup?

Every Flutter Unified All Stars Athletics season ends with the Flutter Cup, a celebration of everything our athletes accomplished throughout the season.

This summer was extra special because it was our very first flag football season! 🏈 Our athletes learned a brand-new sport, practiced new skills, scored touchdowns, pulled plenty of flags, cheered for one another and gave us so many proud moments along the way.

We are incredibly grateful to the United Way of Greater New Bedford for supporting our inaugural flag football season and helping us provide another completely FREE athletic opportunity for children of all abilities in our community. 🧡

The Flutter Cup is our chance to bring everyone together one more time for music, decorations, awards, cheering, proud families and, of course, that very fabulous trophy. 🏆

And that trophy represents so much more than just the end of a season.

We see a whole season of accomplishments.
A whole season of friendships.
A whole season of athletes being celebrated exactly as they are. 🧡

And THAT is what the Flutter Cup is all about.

POV: It’s the day after the Flutter Cup and you’re still driving around with Lady Flutter Cup — aka our EPIC trophy — buckled safely into the back seat. 🏆😂💗

We had SO much fun at the Flutter Cup last night celebrating the end of our first flag football season! 🏈✨

And trust us… we have A LOT more to share. 💕 We can’t wait to relive some of our favorite Flutter Cup moments with you all weekend long!

But for now, Lady Flutter Cup and I have places to be. 😂🏆

🎉 Okay, we need to brag for a minute! 🎉

One of our athletes, Mia, has been chosen to have her picture showcased on the Jumbotron at the upcoming NYC Buddy Walk!! 🤩🗽

Mia participates in both our Flurries Unified All Stars Cheerleading & Dance and Flutter Unified All Stars Athletics programs, and one title could never quite cover everything she does.

Out of thousands of photos submitted from around the world, they picked Mia. On September 12 her face goes up on two Jumbotron screens in Times Square, and her family will be standing right underneath.

Cheer has definitely been on our minds lately… 📣❄️💜

BUT today, we need to talk about THE FLUTTER CUP because it’s happening THIS THURSDAY! 🏈🧡🩵

Every Flutter sports season ends the same way — with the Flutter Cup. And around here, that means we are not simply wrapping up a season. We are CELEBRATING it.

We’re in one of those seasons at Flurries where something new is beginning, something else is getting closer to the finish line, and about a million things are happening behind the scenes. 😂 And somehow, it all gives us even more to be grateful for. 💜🧡

📣 Over at Flurries Unified All Stars Cheerleading & Dance, we officially kicked off Season 3 with our first cheerleading practice this week!

There was something really special about that first practice — watching our returning athletes step back onto the mat with so much confidence, while 22 new athletes began finding their place in our cheer family. Every motion, every jump, every tumble and every stunt filled our hearts a little more.

Season 3 is going to be an amazing one. 💜

🏈 Over at Flutter Unified All Stars Athletics, we are getting closer to wrapping up our very first flag football season, and this week was filled with celebrating touchdowns, cheering each other on and laughing about just how much fun it is to pull the opposing team’s flags. 😂🏈

It has been such a fun first season watching our athletes learn the game, build confidence and genuinely enjoy being out there together.

And we’re not done yet! There has been lots of prep happening behind the scenes for the Flutter Cup this Thursday, and we would LOVE for you to come hang out with us, cheer on our amazing athletes and have some fun together. 🧡

📚 And over at Rie’s Readers , the BIG project work continues…

Turns out when you have a niece who is an amazing artist, some pretty cool things can happen. 😉🎨📚

Meanwhile, James has been working on our updated book list for our Pages of Possibilities classroom book bundles, because we are already thinking ahead to the next classrooms we can surprise.

And somewhere in between all of that… there are meetings, emails, registrations, schedules, equipment, funding, paperwork and about 472 conversations happening at once. 😂

The truth is, this nonprofit takes a lot of work.

We all have full-time jobs. We have families. We have lives outside of Flurries. And there are absolutely weeks when we question how in the world we are going to make all of it happen.

And then an athlete smiles.

Or tries something they didn’t think they could do.

Or high-fives a new friend.

Or a parent tells us how grateful they are that their child has a place here.

And just like that, we remember why.

Why we are here.
Why we keep doing the work.
Why we give so much of our time to this.

Because like we’ve said before, this is so much bigger than us.

We are incredibly grateful for every athlete, family, volunteer, supporter and community partner who continues to believe in what we are building.

All abilities. Countless possibilities.

And we truly cannot wait to see where this goes. 💜🧡

Today, another Flurries Unified All Stars Cheerleading & Dance season began. 💜❄️

Season 3 of Flurries Cheerleading officially kicked off today, and this year’s first practice felt a little extra special.

We got to welcome back so many familiar faces who have already helped make Flurries what it is, while also opening our doors to 22 NEW athletes joining our cheerleading family for the very first time. 🥹💜

That means more athletes now have a team to call their own.

More families have joined our community.

More opportunities to build confidence, friendships, memories and a sense of belonging.

That is what growth means to us.

It isn’t just bigger numbers or more teams. It’s being able to say “yes” to more families. It’s creating more spaces where athletes of all abilities are welcomed, celebrated and given the opportunity to participate in something built with them in mind.

Today there were returning athletes picking right back up where they left off, new athletes finding their place and so many moments that reminded us exactly why Flurries exists.

Today was about cheerleading, but even more than that, it was about creating another place where our athletes can grow, connect and belong.

And getting to do that with both the athletes who have grown with us and 22 brand-new ones beginning their Flurries journey?

That is something we are pretty darn proud of. 💜❄️

Season 3 is officially underway.

All abilities. Countless possibilities. 💜

Not sure if you’ve noticed… but at Flurries, we like to do things BIG! 😂❄️

📣 This cheer season:
4 teams. 60 athletes.

⚽ This soccer season:
6 teams. 70 athletes.

We are getting ready for 10 teams and 130 athletes to take the mat and the field this fall… and that number still feels a little unreal. 💜🧡

2 programs. 2 program directors. 130 athletes to cheer for and two VERY overflowing hearts.

And while Coach Hannah and Coach Kerrie are busy getting two BIG seasons ready, James gets to hear our favorite sentence on repeat…

“We have an idea!” 😂

James: “How big?”
Us: “…130 athletes big.” 😂❄️
