Ultrasound-Guided Trepan Biopsy of the Breast | Explore in 3D

Ultrasound-guided core needle biopsy is a minimally invasive diagnostic procedure — and its precision depends on a sequence that no camera can fully capture:

▫️Precise tumor localization under ultrasound after antiseptic treatment
▫️Local infiltrative anesthesia of the skin and soft tissues overlying the tumor
▫️Core needle advancement toward the tumor under continuous ultrasound guidance
▫️Spring-loaded mechanism capturing a column of tissue
▫️At least 3–4 tissue columns for accurate morphological evaluation
▫️Antiseptic treatment and sterile dressing at the puncture site

Acute prostatitis — visualised by VOKA

A healthy prostate has a lobulated morphology and a pale pink appearance. But during an ascending infection, the pathogen enters the prostatic tissue through the urethra — and the gland transforms:

🔹 It becomes edematous and enlarged
🔹 It acquires a congested red appearance
🔹 Inflammatory foci develop within the parenchyma
🔹 In acute prostatitis, the tense, hyperemic gland compresses the urethra — causing urinary frequency and difficulty with urination

Lagophthalmos — visualised by VOKA 👀

Lagophthalmos is the incomplete or abnormal closure of the eyelids that is more than a cosmetic concern. When normal blinking fails, the cornea is exposed and the tear film evaporates excessively, setting off a cascade of ocular surface damage.

The most common cause? Facial nerve paralysis.

Explaining this mechanism from nerve injury to incomplete blink to corneal exposure requires more than a static diagram. It requires showing what the eye itself can't reveal.

Heart Sounds S1 & S2: Origins and Auscultation Sites | Explained in 3D

This 3D medical animation explains the origins of heart sounds and the classic auscultation sites🫀

Heart sounds are acoustic vibrations generated during the cardiac cycle that are driven by valve closure, blood flow changes, and the vibration of surrounding cardiac structures. The first heart sound comes primarily from the mitral and tricuspid valves. The second — from the aortic and pulmonary valves.
