Help keep Novi safe! Support Drug Take Back Day and bring all unneeded and/or expired Rx meds to the Novi Police Department for proper disposal this Saturday from 10am-2pm. Find more drop off locations and info at www.DEATakeBack.com Turning in all expired or unneeded prescription drug (such as Oxycodone) on Drug Take Back Day is the safest and most environmentally responsible way to dispose of them and prevent their misuse. Never flush drugs down the toilet. According to the Minnesota Pollution Control Agency, studies have found that medicines flushed down the drain can contaminate our lakes and streams, which can hurt fish and other aquatic wildlife, and end up in our drinking water. Some medications interfere with the reproduction and normal growth of frogs and fish and other aquatic species. Flushing medications down a toilet or drain allows them to enter the wastewater treatment system. Many treatment systems are not designed to remove medications.

The drug overdose epidemic in the United States is a clear and present public health, public safety, and national security threat. DEA’s National Prescription Drug Take Back Day reflects DEA’s commitment to Americans’ safety and health, encouraging the public to remove unneeded medications fro...

March is Colorectal Cancer Awareness Month!

Your health matters, and early detection can save lives. Colorectal cancer often develops without noticeable symptoms at first, which is why staying informed and paying attention to changes in your body is so important.

Last year, IEP Charities was proud to support the Henry Ford Health Rochester Hospital Golf Outing. All the proceeds from this event were donated to support a new comprehensive digestive health center in the Rochester community. This expansion and enhancement of the hospital's digestive health program will ensure the acquisition of critical staff as well as diagnostic, therapeutic, and surveillance equipment needed to save lives.

If you notice symptoms like ongoing abdominal discomfort, changes in bowel habits, or unexplained fatigue, you may want to consider getting screened. For more information on prevention and when to seek care, contact your primary care provider.

Your health is worth discussing!
