Why is evaluating syncope one of the most frustrating scenarios in cardiology?

Because different underlying conditions present with identical symptoms.

It all comes down to a fundamental medical equation:

Pressure = Volume × Systemic Vascular Resistance (SVR)

Standard vitals only give doctors the Pressure, leaving them with two hidden variables. Without knowing whether a root cause is a Volume problem or a Resistance problem, clinicians are faced with competing clinical interpretations.

Blood Volume Analysis (BVA) solves for volume, measuring one of the hidden variables to inform care and unlock a pathway forward.

Daxor’s Senior VP of Marketing and Commercial Development, Kathryn Kornafel, attended the 2026 Duke Health University Heart Failure Symposium this weekend, where leading experts shared the latest developments in therapies and patient management.

Dr. Marat Fudim’s presentation, "Remote Monitoring in Heart Failure" highlighted a case report published in ESC Heart Failure examining the relationship between volume ( ) and pressure.

A key takeaway is that pressure-based assessments of congestion in ambulatory heart failure patients do not always accurately reflect intravascular volume, reinforcing an important clinical distinction: pressure and volume are not the same.

The JACC Journals published a Clinical Case Series that highlighted how 's blood volume analysis ( ) uncovered a hidden polycythemia subtype in nearly 20% of patients.

Our patented, U.S. Food and Drug Administration-cleared diagnostic was found to detect critical volume issues missed by standard blood tests that drive patient outcomes, including higher and blood clot risks and a high incidence of polycythemia, which poses additional clinical challenges for patients if untreated.

Stop chasing the "Creatinine Bump"! 🛑

By the time serum creatinine rises, the injury has often already occurred. We are looking at a "rearview mirror" of renal health. 📈

With AKI-related mortality rising by over 150% in certain patient populations recently (CDC WONDER, 2025), reactive medicine isn't enough. 🆘
