Nebraska Perinatal Quality Improvement Collaborative - NPQIC Board of Directors:
The Board of Directors will include stakeholders from across the state of Nebraska.

Nebraska Perinatal Quality Improvement Collaborative (NPQIC) seeks to improve the delivery of and access to evidence-based health care for all Nebraska mothers and newborns. NPQIC seeks to improve the delivery of and access to evidence-based health care for all Nebraska mothers and newborns.
• We will engage all stakeholders statewide.
• We will identify opportunities to optimize measurable perinatal outcomes and implement initiatives for a sustained improvement.
• We will reduce the impact of premature birth statewide.
• We will be good stewards of the financial resources committed to the work of the organization and will allocate our resources across the
entire state of Nebraska to achieve the best possible outcomes. Operations Office:

Every tiny patient deserves gentle, compassionate, and respectful care. NPQIC is excited to expand the Respectful Care Initiative to the NICU setting this month. This initiative will support facilities in providing every baby and family with dignity, kindness, and family-centered care—every step of the way. Statistics have been pulled from the March of Dimes 2025 Report.

📢Beyond Respectful Care: Bringing TeamBirth to Nebraska📢

At this year's Summit, we're proud to welcome the Unravel Team, who will be presenting on TeamBirth and its impact on improving communication and collaboration during birth.

Featured Speakers:
Dr. Amber Weiseth, DNP, MSN, RNC-OB is a Research Scientist at the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health and the Director of Ariadne Labs' Delivery Decisions Initiative. In these roles, she leads a research portfolio focused on enhancing communication, dignity, safety, and evidence-based practice in maternal health. Dr Weiseth is also the CEO and founder of Unravel Healthcare Inc, a mission driven company committed to supporting healthcare systems to implement evidence-based solutions. An obstetric nurse for more than 20 years, Amber is passionately committed to improving safety and dignity in childbirth across the globe.

Trisha Short, MSN, RNC-OB serves as Director of Implementation at Unravel Healthcare, where she partners with hospitals nationwide to implement and sustain TeamBirth. A former high-risk labor and delivery nurse with 16 years of bedside experience, Trisha now specializes in implementation and quality improvement, helping healthcare teams build sustainable systems that improve teamwork, communication, and shared decision-making. She is passionate about equipping clinical leaders with the tools and confidence to create lasting improvements in maternity care.

Their session will provide valuable insights into implementing TeamBirth and advancing respectful, patient-centered care for birthing families. We look forward to learning from their expertise and experience!
