Women and the moon are the same. Moon time markers were the first engraved rocks and stones from 300,000 BC.

She was miniaturizing her universe into symbolic form.

The biggest change in humanity ever is rarely observed. The shift from estrus that shaped many ways of our being as humans in this world.

Common anthropology is inaccurate as it forgets that not all humans were men. Completely forgets!! What makes clear and simple sense is often overlooked through this lens of ignorance.

Human life began with birth.
Science, math, wonder, calendars all originated with HER relationship to the moon and her cycles. Midwifery.. childbirth, bearing children and keeping them alive. These things played a massive role in the development of who we are today.

Herstory needs to be written and re membered. There is much to gain by looking for support in creating a sustainable culture by looking at the thriving civilizations of the past.

I walk on you gently
use the precious waters that fall sparingly. Try to keep my footprint gentle and loving.

Overlooked

your sacred offering of land and all that sustains us.

She is living, thriving and generous..
As we take and take and desecrate and destroy the very skin of her. Humans.

Disconnected
Disjointed
Neglectful

I offer you the kindness one human hand can.

I offer you the gratitude this one human heart can.

I sing praises to you and know you are part of my every step. Your skin is my skin, and my life depends on honoring you, mother.

Such iconic women. It is strange to be sorrowful over people I never had the pleasure of meeting.

It is up to all of us.. born in this time for a reason.. to carry the torch lit by greatness that had its time in herstory.

My mother used to rave and rave about Gloria. With good reason. If you do not know the impacr she had on how we flourish today, it’s time to get to know her.

Monday my 2 yr old grandaughter brought me a nook to read and the 8 yr old came over and said, “that book’s from Dolly Parton.”

My faith in the future was restaored a bit for a moment in time.

These 2 icons in wildly different ways made this world a better place.
