Holistic Outreach for Veterans All services are provided free of charge to help veterans calm their minds, relieve stress, and lift their spirits.

Holistic practitioners offer FREE services, including massage, Reiki, and Acudetox, to veterans, their spouses, and caregivers on the 4th Monday of each month from 6:30 PM to 8:30 PM at SALON DeSHANO in Palmyra. Holistic Outreach for Veterans (HOV)

Founded in 2019 by Kim Munson in Palmyra, Virginia, Holistic Outreach for Veterans (HOV) was inspired by the experiences of Kim's son, Kile, and the challenges faced by many veterans. Utilizing her expertise in Reiki, meditation, and stress reduction, Kim established HOV with the support of friends and SALON DeSHANO owners, Jeff and Jacqui DeShano. HOV provides holistic services specifically for veterans.

With the help of dedicated volunteers, HOV offers compassionate holistic services and organizes community-supported events. We meet every 4th Monday of every month at Salon DeShano, where we offer holistic services such as massage, Reiki, Acudetox, and community gatherings. These services and events are open to veterans, their spouses, families, and caregivers at NO CHARGE.

HOV is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization officially approved by the state of Virginia for solicitation. We partner with other local veteran services to enhance our support network and provide comprehensive care for veterans.

Honoring Our Fallen This Memorial Day Weekend

As we enter Memorial Day weekend, Holistic Outreach for Veterans pauses to honor the brave men and women who gave their lives in service to our nation. Their sacrifice is the reason we gather in freedom, community, and peace.

We remember the heroes who never made it home, the families who carry their legacy, and the brothers and sisters in arms who hold their memory close. Their courage lives on in every life they touched and in every generation that follows.

To our veterans, families, and supporters here in Fluvanna County โ€” thank you for continuing to uplift one another, for preserving the stories of those we have lost, and for standing together in gratitude and respect.

May this weekend be a time of reflection, connection, and quiet remembrance.
We honor them today and always.
