I’ve worked in the field of psychology for over 24 years as a therapist, school counselor, teacher, hospital social worker, wellness coach. and group facilitator. With all this experience, I love to give back.
One key aspect of our program is providing members from our Girls In-Service program the opportunity to intern with younger grades.
I love teaching about group process and how to really work with youth in an impactful way that resonates with our members who are interested in the field of psychology.
While as adults our work as we get older is second nature to us, I believe its important to give back to our youth through internships.
This summer, intern Sidney worked with our 3rd and 4th grade Summer Camp, and she got to see first hand about how to help kids best and why this work is so important at this age of development.
We’ve had interns at our School Year Wellness Workshops and past summer camps, and we’ll continue to offer opportunities.
