What do Carlow DPT students wish they knew before starting PT school?

From relying on your cohort to realizing you don’t have to have your entire career planned on day one.



You spend a lot of time together, so lean on each other. Your classmates become one of your biggest support systems

It’s not just sitting in lectures. You get opportunities to practice skills and connect what you’re learning to patient care.

Your professors are there to help. Don’t wait until you’re struggling to reach out.

DPT school is demanding, but taking time to recharge and spend time with friends matters too.

You might enter PT school thinking you know exactly what setting you want and discover something completely different.

DPT school is a lot of hard work but having people beside you who understand the late nights, practicals, wins, and everything in between makes all the difference.

From undergrad to PT school, Carlow has always felt like home. 💜💚

For first-year PT student Ava Grew, the supportive professors, small class sizes, and close-knit community made choosing Carlow again an easy decision.
