As we begin September, we reflect on August as National Make a Will Month—a meaningful reminder to take an important step in planning for the future. Creating a will helps ensure your wishes are honored, your loved ones are cared for, and your legacy reflects the people and causes that matter most to you. If you did not have the chance to start the conversation last month, now is still a great time to put your plans in place. Visit visibility.org for more information.

Today we held our annual Grassroots Open House and were thrilled to welcome so many local, state, and federal legislators and their staff. It was a wonderful chance to share our story, introduce our team, and talk about our mission. These partnerships are key to what we do. By working together, we can truly make a difference.

We are incredibly grateful to Soraya Correa, the CEO of National Industries for the Blind, the members of St. Lucy’s Auxiliary to the Blind, and the members of our Board of Directors who joined us today. Their valuable insights enriched our story.

Help these adorable puppies learn basic obedience, how to get along with others, and how to behave at home before they move on to guide dog training. With your care and support, you can help them reach their goals.

VisAbility has partnered with Guiding Eyes for the Blind to serve as a puppy-raising facility that helps raise service dogs for people who are blind or have vision loss. Each puppy will live with you for 12 to 18 months to learn important skills before starting the next part of their training. As a puppy raiser, you’ll get one-on-one support and join group classes to help you and your puppy do well.

Join us on Monday, July 6th, at 3:00 pm or 5:30 pm to learn how you can help transform the life of someone with vision loss. Take the first step and make a meaningful difference. Please RSVP to Victoria at [email protected] if you are interested in attending.
