Community Cultures Community Cultures offers fermentation education through in-person and virtual workshops, as well as larger international events.

Community Cultures provides Fermentation Education opportunities throughout the Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania region. Since the Covid-19 pandemic, workshops are also now offered virtually. The goal is to make fermentation education accessible to all through affordable workshops.

We took a little break on production this week to escape to the beach, so no cashew spreads for Saturday...BUT, we do have one of my favorite sodas, Curry Leaf Mojito--our take on a virgin mojito infused with curry leaves from a curry leaf tree that I've been taking care of for years now. If you're into unique, savory-sweet, aromatic beverages, this might be for you!

Local and inspired by indigenous foodways of the Americas, you'll get to try out our spiced maize soda and fermented corn pico, two product debuts! Pollinator's Delight is back this year with a new blend of herbs (and a subtle mouth-numbing effect), mostly from Cutting Root. It's time for one of my favorite seasonal ingredients: Fig Leaf! This flavor often shocks my customers--when harvested, roasted, processed, turned into a tea, and then fermented, it creates releases tropical coconut & fig-like flavors, along with its herbal/nutritive quality. I was inspired by Danny Childs for this one ☝️. Excited to debut this fun flavor for the year this Saturday at Bloomfield! As always, we have an array of products, including that parsley dill cashew spread that dill lovers are loving, more peach, and a select number of a black raspberry - tulsi blend! Excited to be back at the regular spot with some cold beverages to compliment the heat and humidity 😎

We're at Pittsburgh VegFest until 5PM with fermented sodas in cups, bottles or ice cream floats! We also have 2 cashew spreads flavors (pesto and parsley/dill)-- they're flying out of the cooler, though-- and some other fermented veg and condiments! Cheers to my love for her chalkboard art, and happy lugnasadh (half way through summer, celebrating the harvest season!). We have a vibrant raspberry, chamomile and lavender soda to celebrate a blend of the harvest season! wahooo

We're kicking off August with a busy weekend and some peach soda on tap! Excited to be back at Pittsburgh VegFest and this year we'll still be able to have a limited menu available at Bloomfield Saturday Market , with Lea holding down our spot. 3 opportunities to pick up some groovy ferments, from bubblies to veg and new cashew spread this weekend! Huge shout out to our foster cats for being a great backdrop when I'm running out of background photo ideas
