🍉 Now THIS is a watermelon!

There’s nothing like cutting into a beautiful, ripe seeded watermelon and seeing that deep red color. And yes—it tasted just as good as it looks! 😋

We prefer seeded watermelon in our house. Seeded watermelons develop mature black seeds, while most seedless watermelons are specially bred to produce fruit with little or no mature seeds. Both can be nutritious, hydrating choices—seedless watermelon isn’t “fake” or genetically modified simply because it has no mature seeds.

For us, though, there’s just something about a good old-fashioned seeded watermelon. 🍉❤️ Sweet, juicy, refreshing—and worth picking out a few seeds!

What about you—seeded or seedless?

A Sunday stroll through my garden after church. 🌿🌸🙏🏾
Just enjoying the beauty, the peace, and the blessings all around me. Sometimes living well is as simple as slowing down long enough to appreciate what’s right in front of you.
It’s never too late to live well. 💚

🍕🌱 Vegan pizza date!

Reggie and I headed out for some vegan pizza and decided to take you along with us!

Plant-based living doesn't mean we can't go out, have fun, and enjoy some of the foods we love. Sometimes living well is simply enjoying good food, good company, and time together. ❤️

It's never too late to live well!

Tomorrow, August 17, is a very special day in our home. 💙💛

In 2023, the City of Pittsburgh officially proclaimed August 17 as “Reggie Howze, Sr. Day” in recognition of Reggie’s commitment to his community, his work to help keep the historic Hill District clean and beautiful, his athletic accomplishments, and his dedication to inspiring others.

Reggie may think people have forgotten, but I haven’t. ❤️

I’m so proud of the difference he has made—and continues to make. At 81, he is still an example that service, purpose, and making a difference have no age limit.

So tomorrow, we celebrate Reggie Howze, Sr. Day! 🎉

Thank you, Reggie, for your years of service and for reminding us that one person really can make a difference.

It’s never too late to live well. It’s never too late to make a difference.

Why is s*x and intimacy still such a taboo subject as we get older?

It's part of life, relationships and living well — yet people often act as though we're supposed to stop talking about it after a certain age.

Reggie and I decided to talk about it. ❤️

This is just one part of our conversation in Episode 5 of *Living Well with Reggie & Shawna Howze*: **What Does It Really Mean to Live Well?**

Reggie, 81, having a little fun at CHOOLAH this weekend. Life is meant to be enjoyed—one joyful moment at a time!

Remember, it’s never too late to live well…and it’s never too late to have fun! 💙

What does it look like to begin a new chapter at 81? In this portion of our fourth episode, Reggie shares his thoughts about moving forward and embracing a new path.

We hope this conversation reminds you that your age does not determine whether you can grow, change, or discover a new purpose.
