Thursday was a busy, full day here at the Oregon Rural Health Conference in Bend!

We had amazing presentations spanning all areas of rural health, from supporting access to healthcare among rural farmworker communities to updates for RHCs and CAHs across Oregon, and managing the impacts of H.R. 1.

The 43rd Annual Oregon Rural Health Conference is off to a great start!

Former Governor Dr. John Kitzhaber just spoke to a large crowd about the future of healthcare in Oregon.

The future of healthcare in rural Oregon depends both on the stability of the larger healthcare system, of which it is a part, and on addressing the unique challenges facing rural communities across our state.

The presentation explored the nature of these challenges and offered a roadmap to a more stable and sustainable future for Oregon’s healthcare system as a whole, and for our rural healthcare infrastructure in particular.

The AgriStress Helpline provides free, confidential support to farmers, ranchers, agricultural workers and their families 24/7/365 by call or text. The Helpline connects agricultural communities with trained crisis specialists who understand the unique stressors and challenges associated with life in agriculture.

Expanding the AgriStress Helpline to provide nationwide coverage requires approximately $2.5 million in funding. To help meet this need, AgriSafe has launched a JustGiving fundraising campaign to build broader support for the Helpline. https://zurl.co/48hon
