We are in awe: more than 150 events took place in 40 states and six countries for yesterday. Together, we donated 1.3 MILLION period products - and tallying everything has only just begun!

While Period Action Day is a marquee day for our movement, today is another moment: Give to Women and Girls Day, held every year on International Day of the Girl. Give to Women and Girls Day exists because less than 2% of all charitable giving in the United States goes to organizations serving women and girls.

Less than 2%.

Period poverty is one of the issues living inside that 2%.

For decades it’s been treated as too small, or too private, to fund seriously, which is exactly why our work depends on people like you.

Our friends at Aerie have generously agreed to extend their Period Action Day match through tonight at midnight.

Hi there! I’m Nicky, ’s National Education Manager, and we have a huge announcement for Period Action Day today: The PERIOD. Learning Lab is officially live!

This free online platform is designed for students, educators, and advocates to build a working understanding of menstrual equity as a solvable policy issue rather than a private inconvenience, and learn how to act on it where they live and learn.

The inaugural course, Intro to Menstruation, is available in English, Spanish, Haitian Creole, Japanese, Mandarin, and Hindi. Launching alongside it is a Workshop Toolkit, Racial Disparities in Menstrual Health - a partnership with Endo Black™️, Inc.: a ready-to-present resource you can download and deliver to your own students, staff, or community. More courses, toolkits, and a menstrual equity glossary will follow.

Hi there! It’s Jenn Herrera, Executive Director of PERIOD.. This is my first Period Action Day, and I can’t believe the outpouring of support and energy that this movement can bring! The number of people who showed up today is extraordinary, and I’m so grateful to every single one of you.

Our partners at Cora donated 961,000 period products: a truly transformational donation that breaks PERIOD. records! Thank you doesn’t quite cover it.

We met our initial goal, but the need hasn’t changed. Every product you collect still reaches someone who needs it. So now the question is: how high can we go?

Right now there are over 150 events happening across 40 states and six countries. Behind every event is an organizer who decided to step off the sidelines — a student, a teacher, a volunteer, someone who decided their community shouldn’t wait. First course: Intro to Menstruation, available in six languages, with a certificate when you finish. Plus a new Workshop Toolkit on Racial Disparities in Menstrual Health - a partnership with Endo Black™️, Inc. - for you to download and present in your own community!

2. Happening now: There are over 150+ Period Action Day events across six countries! Find one in your area and count yourself in!
