Healing can take many forms — and for some veterans, it starts on a surfboard.

Programs like Operation Surf and Warrior Surf Foundation are helping veterans rediscover purpose, connection, and confidence through the power of surfing.

Beyond the waves, these programs build community, improve mental health, and remind veterans they are not alone in their journey.

Stories like these are a powerful reminder that accessibility, recreation, and community-based support can transform lives.

Thank you to the organizations creating spaces where veterans can heal, reconnect, and thrive — one wave at a time.🏄

May is National Mobility Awareness Month (NMAM), a time to recognize the importance of accessible transportation and the life-changing impact mobility solutions can have for millions of individuals and families.

At Mobility Trust, we believe mobility is more than transportation — it’s independence, opportunity, and freedom.

Mobility solutions help individuals stay connected to their careers, healthcare, communities, and daily lives.

This year’s theme, “Find Your Fit,” highlights that every mobility journey is unique. We’re proud to support greater accessibility through specialized financing solutions designed specifically for the disability community.

Together, we can continue expanding access, independence, and inclusion through mobility.

April is Paralyzed Veterans of America (PVA) Awareness Month—a time to recognize the strength, resilience, and ongoing challenges faced by veterans living with spinal cord injuries and other disabilities.

Thousands of Americans—including many veterans—experience life-changing spinal cord injuries every year. Organizations like PVA step in to ensure these individuals have access to the care, benefits, employment opportunities, and support they’ve earned through their service.

From advocating for accessible communities and quality healthcare to advancing research and providing adaptive sports and career programs, PVA is working every day to help veterans live with greater independence and dignity.

PVA Awareness Month is a call to action. It’s about sharing stories, raising awareness, and supporting the programs that empower veterans and their families.

As we reflect this month, let’s ask ourselves: how can we contribute to building a more accessible, inclusive world for those who have sacrificed so much?

Today, the world recognizes 1.3 billion people with disabilities—a reminder that building truly inclusive communities means ensuring access, dignity, and opportunity for all.

This year, the World Health Organization (WHO) is spotlighting a critical issue: inclusive health financing.

For many individuals and families, essential care, treatments, and medical devices remain out of reach when financing systems aren’t designed with their needs in mind. The result is too often catastrophic out-of-pocket costs, financial instability, or being forced to go without the care that supports health, independence, and quality of life.

At Mobility Trust, we see the impact of inclusive financing every day. When people can access the mobility equipment, vehicles, and home modifications they need—without facing financial harm—their health, employment opportunities, and overall well-being improve. Families are stronger. Communities are stronger. Our economy is stronger.

Inclusive health financing isn’t just good policy—
✨ It’s a foundation for health for all,
✨ A pathway to economic participation, and
✨ A reflection of our values as a society.

On this International Day of Persons with Disabilities, we recommit to expanding financial access for people with disabilities and building systems that are accessible, affordable, and equitable for everyone.
