Your circadian rhythm notices the seasons changing. In TCM late summer runs all the way through September 22nd, but our body still needs daily circadian connection in order to smoothly transition into the upcoming season.

One of the simplest ways to support your circadian rhythm is also one of the most powerful: see natural light at both ends of the day.

Morning light helps anchor your circadian clock, supports healthy cortisol timing, and signals to your brain and body that it’s time to be awake, alert, and metabolically active.

Evening light helps your body recognize that the day is winding down, supporting the natural transition toward melatonin production and sleep.

This daily light-dark cycle influences far more than sleep. Your circadian system helps coordinate metabolism, appetite, glucose regulation, hormones, body temperature, and cellular repair.

And as the seasons change, our cues need to change with them.

Try making sunrise and sunset part of your daily rhythm:
— Get outside within the first hour of waking
— Let your eyes receive natural daylight (without staring directly at the sun)
— Spend a few minutes outdoors around sunset
— Dim bright artificial light as evening progresses
— Let your bedtime gradually follow the earlier darkness

You don’t need a perfect routine. You need consistent signals.

Your biology is built to read the light around you. As summer gives way to fall, give your body the opportunity to read the season, too.

The Solid Serum Castor Blend from Olea is made from just two oils + four ingredients.

The barrier support your skin has been asking for. Organic castor oil creates a natural occlusive seal—locking moisture in and reducing the water loss that leaves skin dry and tight. Olea’s Castor Blend Solid Serum is hexane-free and cold-pressed to preserve every fatty acid. Black seed oil delivers what castor oil can’t do alone: antioxidant-rich protection from thymoquinone, essential fatty acids that nourish and balance, and calming support for skin prone to redness or irritation. Together, they work synergistically, one seals, one nourishes—for barrier care that’s more complete than either oil alone. Vitamin E adds antioxidant defense. Beeswax makes it solid, portable, mess-free.

Suggested Use: After cleansing and any actives or serums, warm a small amount between your fingertips and press gently onto skin. Use morning, evening, or both. Works on face, elbows, cuticles, heels, hair ends—anywhere your skin needs extra attention.

Ingredients: Organic Castor Oil (cold-pressed, hexane-free); Black Seed Oil (antioxidant-rich, perfect as a natural seed oil for face care); Vitamin E (supports skin’s moisture barrier); Beeswax (moisture-locking)

Size: 4 oz

About Olea: Our journey began in our founder’s kitchen, with a simple goal: to craft skincare that works naturally with your body. Castor oil’s magic is undeniable, but its mess - not so great. Driven by a vision to simplify its benefits, our founder set out to reimagine its use; a cleaner, more elegant ritual, stripped of the hassle but rich with potency. After countless experiments and an unwavering commitment to purity, the perfect blend emerged.

ICYMI: This week’s newsletter is all about hair care. Healthy hair isn’t just about what you put on your hair—it starts at the scalp and is shaped by how you care for what’s already grown.

A few simple rituals can make a difference: gentle brushing to distribute natural oils, washing only as often as your hair needs, giving your strands a break from excessive treatments and heat, avoiding constant tension from tight styles, and treating wet hair with a little extra care.

And sometimes, the best hair-care ritual is doing a little less.

Think of it as an inside + outside approach: support healthy growth through nutrition, hormones, stress, and overall wellbeing, while protecting the hair you already have through thoughtful, consistent care.

A handful of good habits > an overflowing bathroom shelf.

We have some exciting news! Our amazing Craniosacral Therapist, Marisa is offering two new services: Infant Sessions & Mother-Infant Dyad Sessions!

INFANT SESSIONS (30-min clinical appointment)
Birth leaves an imprint. Even when smooth, the process of coming into the world can create strain patterns in a baby’s body—affecting feeding, digestion, sleep, and nervous system regulation.

Craniosacral therapy combined with gentle myofascial release offers a non-invasive way to help babies unwind these early tensions and restrictions. This deeper work supports the resolution of common postbirth patterns like torticollis and plagiocephaly (flat head), while honoring the baby’s innate capacity for ease and coherence.

Whether from prolonged labor, fast delivery, C-section, or medical interventions, we work with the body’s innate intelligence to restore ease and support the expression of natural reflexes from the very beginning.

In a 30-minute session, we support your baby’s natural return to ease through gentle, skilled touch.

Ideal timing: anytime from the first days through 12 weeks postbirth; applicable through 6 months infancy.

Session Price: $75

MOTHER-INFANT DYAD SESSIONS (30-min clinical appointment)
Early infancy is a period of profound relational development. Mother and infant are not separate systems—they remain deeply attuned to one another at both nervous system and cellular levels (microchimerism).

This session honors that bond. Working with both bodies together, we support the nervous system’s natural capacity to regulate through safe connection, ease postbirth holding patterns, and deepen the felt sense of secure attunement between you and your baby.

In a 30-minute session, we work with both of you together to restore coherence and ease.

Ideal timing: anytime from the first days through 12 weeks postbirth; applicable through 6 months infancy.

Session Price: $75

ICYMI: Our latest newsletter highlights the importance of understanding that your cycle is more than your period. It’s a month-long rhythm—and your body doesn’t necessarily need the same food, movement, rest, or support every day.

Understanding the four phases gives you a simple map for working with your body rather than constantly pushing through.

🌑 ME**ES | Replenish + Rest
Hormones are low and iron needs increase. Think warm, nourishing, iron-rich foods, rest, heat, and gentler movement.

🌱 FOLLICULAR | Build + Move
As estrogen rises, energy often follows. Lean into protein, greens, and more vigorous movement or strength training.

🌸 OVULATION | Hydrate + Connect
With the LH surge and peak fertility, prioritize hydration, minerals, sleep, nervous-system support, and moderate movement.

🌕 LUTEAL | Nourish + Slow Down
Progesterone rises, body temperature increases, and appetite may climb. Add healthy fats and complex carbs, and gradually shift toward lower-intensity movement and more recovery.

The goal isn’t four completely different routines. It’s learning to recognize your patterns and make small adjustments.

Hungrier? Restless? More tired? Suddenly energized? A workout feeling harder than usual?

Instead of automatically pushing through, consider what your body might be asking for.

And when fertility, painful periods, PMS, or changing hormones are part of the picture, that awareness can become an even more valuable tool.

Start with the map. Notice what changes. Then make small adjustments based on what your body is telling you.

For more individualized support, our Ayurvedic practitioner Kayla and Jelena for TCM + Functional Medicine can help you explore your cycle, nutrition, fertility, and hormone health through a more personalized lens.

MEDITATION AS A LIVING PRACTICE: A 6-week Practice & Integration Group with Ellie Burke

Six, bi-weekly Sunday Sessions: 9/27, 10/11, 10/25, 11/8, 11/22, 12/6 from 4:30–5:30pm at Boketto Wellness

Meditation can feel out-of-reach and inaccessible, if not impossible. It can also introduce us to an experience of ourselves that we can’t then find in our day-to-day lives, creating disconnect and dissonance with the life we have. It doesn’t have to be that way.

Join Ellie for a practical yet profound introduction to meditation as an integrated, living practice.

Over the course of six every-other-week sessions, you will learn an approach to practicing—whether on the cushion or in life—that is simple and sustainable, accessible and insightful.

You will come away with a practice that creates connection, clarity, and meaning within the life you have.

Sessions include:
• short guided meditation
• guidance on experiences
• intentional practices for integration

Space is limited to 12
Cost is “sliding-scale“ $150 / $180 / $210

NOTES:
Arrive 10 minutes before each session so you can get comfortable and settle in
We’ll have metal folding chairs for you, and… if you have a cushion or something else you’d prefer to sit on, by all means, bring!

While attending the entire series is most beneficial, missing 1-2 sessions is fine

ICYMI — Our latest newsletter is all about Fall skincare. When it comes to your skin, Summer’s focus should be protection, while Fall is all about repair.

After months of sun, heat, sweat, and environmental stress, skin can be left with more than a tan—uneven tone, dehydration, congestion, fine lines, and a weakened barrier.

As we move into fall, it’s a good time to shift the focus from simply protecting the skin to thoughtfully restoring it.

That might mean a series of clinical treatments, a more intentional home routine, or simply giving your barrier the support it’s been asking for.

The key is starting before you need a reset. Fall treatments are often most effective when planned as a series, with time between appointments for your skin to respond and rebuild.

Not sure what your skin needs? Come in for a consultation and we’ll help you map out the right approach for the season. Our consultations are just $25 and if you decide to book a treatment, your consult balance gets applied to your first session.

Give us a call or come by the shop to learn more. We’re open 7 days a week :)
