Another informative and inspirational time at The Arc Maryland Statewide Convention! It all started on May 27 with a summit and MCE Leadership graduation🎓and flowed into the next day full of panelists, connections and awards including R3 LLC who is our Chapter Volunteer of the Year and Elizabeth Edwards who won the School Inclusion Award! 🏆Congrats to all and we can't wait until next year's convention!

Today marks the 15th Global Accessibility Awareness Day (GAAD). Global Accessibility Awareness Day The purpose is to get everyone talking, thinking and learning about digital access/inclusion and people with disabilities. Four years ago, communications professionals from nonprofits supporting Marylanders with IDD came together to share ideas, build advocacy partnerships, and create a space where people truly understand each other’s challenges and successes.

The group meets virtually each month, but once a year, we have the opportunity to connect in person — and Monday was that day.

Thank you to everyone who joined us on Monday and to all who continue meeting throughout the year to make this collaboration so meaningful. Special thanks to Disability Rights Maryland for hosting!
