Painful s*x is not something you just endure.

If s*x hurts, whether that’s pain during, pain after, an inability to tolerate pe*******on, or a feeling of tightness that makes intimacy something you avoid, this is treatable. You don’t have to figure it out alone.

A lot of people carry this in silence. They’ve been embarrassed. Dismissed. Told to relax, use lubricant, or have a glass of wine. When none of that works, they stop talking about it.

Painful s*x can involve your pelvic floor muscles, scar tissue, nervous system responses, and how your body holds stress. A pelvic floor PT can help figure out what’s contributing and work on it with you.

This applies to women and men. And it’s one of the most common things I see.

Send this to someone who needs it. Or save it for yourself.

If your child is having daytime wetting accidents and nothing you’ve tried is helping, please hear this: it might not be a behavior problem.

Kids’ bodies are still developing, and sometimes the pelvic floor and bladder aren’t coordinating the way they need to. That’s not a discipline issue. That’s a body that needs some help learning a new skill.

Pediatric pelvic floor PT is gentle and age-appropriate. We work with kids to help their body learn to coordinate bladder function. No shame, no pressure, no punishment.

This is one of the most common concerns parents bring to me, and one of the least talked-about reasons to see a pelvic floor PT. If you’ve been worrying about your child and wondering whether this is something that will just resolve on its own, it’s okay to ask for help.

You don’t need a referral in Minnesota. You can just call. Link in bio for a free 15-minute phone consult.

Send this to a parent who needs to hear it.

These are real words from real clients.

Every one of these people came in dealing with something they’d been living with for too long. And every one of them left feeling understood, informed, and capable of managing their own body.

That’s the experience I’m building here. If you’re looking for a pelvic health PT who will take the time, listen, and help you actually understand what’s going on, I’d love to talk.

If your symptoms get worse at the same time every month, your body is telling you something useful.

Hormonal fluctuations affect your pelvic floor muscles, your connective tissue, pain sensitivity, and how your nervous system handles stress. So it makes sense that leaking, pain, urgency, or heaviness might follow a pattern tied to your cycle.

You don’t need to track everything. Just start noticing. Which week feels better? Which feels worse? That information is valuable and it’s something we can work with together.

Save this and start paying attention.

She was doing core exercises five days a week and still leaking every time she ran.

The issue wasn’t strength. It was coordination. Her core, her pelvic floor, and her breathing weren’t working together the way they needed to. She was bracing hard through her midsection, and her pelvic floor was getting no support from the rest of the system.

Once we addressed the coordination, not just the strength, things started to change.

‘Strengthen your core’ isn’t bad advice. It’s just incomplete. Your core is part of a system, and when we work on how the whole system moves together, that’s when results stick.

Share this with someone who’s been told to do more core work and it’s not helping.

hear this more than almost anything else: ‘I tried pelvic floor therapy and it didn’t work.’

And I always believe the person saying it. If the experience didn’t get results, that was real.

But most of the time, the problem wasn’t the therapy. It was the setup. Short appointments where nobody has time to look at the bigger picture. Rotating providers who don’t know your history. A sheet of exercises that isn’t built for your specific body and your specific situation.

That’s not what pelvic floor therapy should look like.

At Sakura Pelvic Health, the first visit is 90 minutes. Follow-ups are 60 minutes. You see me every session, start to finish. I look at your breathing, your movement, your posture, your history, your nervous system, and your pelvic floor. And the plan we build is based on what I find in your body, not on a template.

If you’ve written off pelvic floor therapy because of a past experience, I’d love the chance to show you what it can look like when the setup is right.

Send this to someone who gave up on PT. They deserve another shot.

These are real words from real clients at Sakura Pelvic Health.

‘She took the time to delve deep into my concerns to get to the root issue.’
‘The appointments were never rushed. I left confident in what I needed to do.’
‘After working with Sarah I was finally pain free.’
‘She will make you feel comfortable and heard.’
‘I’ve never had a more well-rounded, skilled PT.’

These words mean everything to me. And if you’re reading this and thinking ‘I want that experience,’ I’d love to talk.

Your body feels different lately. You’re not imagining it.

Perimenopause changes things. Your pelvic floor, your bladder, your energy, the way your body responds to exercise, the way you sleep, the way pain shows up. These changes are real, and they deserve attention, not dismissal.

If you’ve noticed that things feel different down there, whether that’s new urgency, dryness, pain, leaking that wasn’t there before, or a sense of heaviness that’s hard to describe, your body is communicating with you. That information is valuable.

A pelvic floor PT can help you understand what’s changing, what’s normal, and what you can do about it. You don’t have to wait until things get worse to ask for help.

Save this for when you need the reminder.
