Applied Behavior Services provides cutting edge services to individuals in a wide variety of settings. These services include:
•Early intensive in-home intervention programs for children to teach language, academic, social, and adaptive behavior skills.
•Functional assessment and behavior plan development
•Social skills groups and other small group instruction to teach appropriate peer interactions and group learning skills.
•Behavior consultation in school, community, employment and home settings to reduce behaviors of concern, teach appropriate and meaningful replacement behaviors, and facilitate increased independence in all areas of life.
•Group and individual trainings and workshops to teach others to successfully use behavior principles to reduce behaviors and teach new skills.
•Ongoing personal care and support for individuals in home, group and community settings.

It’s WINSDAY!

Today we’re celebrating a pretty amazing milestone! One of our Center students is working on gradually transitioning back to his district high school building. During his time there this morning, he took a BIG step. He successfully led the Pledge of Allegiance during the morning announcements for the entire school! 🇺🇸

Transitions take courage, practice, support, and a lot of hard work. Moments like this remind us that progress isn’t just about getting somewhere. It’s about growing in confidence and independence along the way. We are SO proud of this student and everyone supporting him as he works toward this next chapter!

🌟 WHAT’S YOUR WIN WEDNESDAY? 🌟

Tolerating non-preferred activities and changes in routine can be hard for all of us. And sometimes they can be especially challenging for our students. That’s why we celebrate every step forward! This week, friends across all three of our campuses had some amazing wins while working on flexibility and tolerating some tough things!

We celebrated students who successfully:
✨ Came into school safely
✨ Transitioned from the sensory room back to the classroom
✨ Washed their hands
✨ Shared items with others
✨ Took turns with playground equipment
✨ Put on their shoes and socks

And one of our biggest wins involves a BIG change for one of our students, moving to a new classroom! A new classroom means a new location, new routines, new staff, and new friends. Instead of making that change all at once, his team has been helping him gradually spend longer periods of time in his new classroom so he can get comfortable and learn what to expect.
And he is doing AWESOME! 🙌 Not only is he successfully spending more and more time in his new room, but he is having a blast participating in activities with his new friends! 🎉

These moments are such a great reminder that progress isn't always about learning a brand-new skill. Sometimes the win is handling something that used to be really hard and discovering that you can do it! Way to go to our students AND the teams supporting them through every little step. This is the WHY!

For this week’s Wednesday Win, we are celebrating an incredible update from one of our families! A parent shared that since beginning ABA services, her child is:

✨ No longer running away
✨ Walking safely to the front door after getting out of the car
✨ Using more words at home
✨ Giving up the tablet when asked
✨ Spontaneously talking at home—something the family had never seen before ABA therapy!

We are so proud of this child’s amazing progress and so thankful for the dedicated team helping make it possible.

This is the WHY! 💙

🌟 A Belated What’s Your Win Wednesday! 🌟

Last week brought us two wonderful wins! Not only did we have a fun and successful first week back to school after our summer break, but we also celebrated the opening of a brand-new classroom at our West Campus!

Our Transitional Learning Classroom (TLC) focuses on vocational and independent living skills to help prepare our older students for a successful transition into adulthood and life after graduation.

We are so excited to offer this new classroom and provide even more opportunities to help our students build confidence, develop meaningful skills, and prepare for a successful future!

Congratulations to our Clinic/ School/ Community August Employee of the Month: Priyanka Suresh Babu

Priya is an RBT in our Early Intervention Clinic. She has been with us in clinic a little over 6 months but has vast knowledge of the field. Priya has become one of our most reliable and knowledgeable RBTs in the clinic and we, along with Little Miss PM, would be lost without her. She is positive, she takes feedback and immediately puts it into action, her notes are ALWAYS done on time, and she is just as kind as kind can be. Priya really is an undeniable constant in the clinic. She has built great relationships with the parents on her teams and works well with all clinical staff. Thank you for choosing ABS every day and we hope you find yourself just as happy here as we are to have you!

What a wonderful way to wrap up our last week at North Campus before the break! We packed so many memories into one amazing Spirit Week. We spent time cooling off in the water and celebrating three incredible students as they begin their next chapters with a fun farm filled dress up day, sweet treats, and a dance party that featured all their favorite hits!

We also celebrated our very own student filmmaker at the premiere of their movie, Mary. After spending his entire summer in a film class creating, writing, and producing the film, it was such a proud moment to see their hard work come to life on the big screen!

🌟 Wednesday Win! 🌟

Today we are celebrating a great milestone from one of our students! 💙

During “library” time, our student independently selected an educational book from the cabinet, carried it to his desk, and then began verbally identifying the shapes and animals throughout the book. After naming each one, he would look to his teacher for confirmation that he was correct.
Watching confidence, communication, and independence come together in one beautiful moment was truly unforgettable.

And to make it even more special…it all happened on his birthday! 🎉🎂

These are the moments that remind us why we love what we do. We couldn’t be more proud! ❤️
