If winter sleep is called hibernation, its flip side is estivation, defined by Merriam-Webster as “the state or condition of torpidity or dormancy induced by the heat of summer.”
I disagree.
If you're heat-intolerant like me, summer is a season of slowing down—it's a season of creating, growing, and connecting differently.
While others are soaking up the sunshine, I'm tucked away in my cool (some may say chilly) studio, dreaming up new diffuser jewelry, malas, and accessories. Summer becomes my creative season. It's when I focus on the work that often takes a back seat during the cooler months, when I'm busy outdoors, marketing, and selling at the amazing local markets in our beautiful community.
My studio is my happy place. A space filled with creativity, conversation, coffee, and new ideas.
If you've ever been curious about what happens behind the scenes at The Mini Mala & Co., I'd love to invite you in. Stop by to create with me, browse what's new, talk business or life, or simply share a cup of coffee.
This summer, I'm not in estivation—I'm creating.
