Queen of Cups Birth and Lactation Full Spectrum Doula Services

Psst...local doulas tend to have hospitals and providers they refuse to work with. And it's not just one doula who feels that way.

We talk about these places and people amongst ourselves, wishing deeply that others knew too. We wish you knew that this provider isn't going to support your VBAC or that this hospital doesn't welcome doulas. We wish you knew which provider forced a woman to labor on her back or used coercion to get their way. We want you to know that the hospital you've chosen has terrible breastfeeding advice.

And yeah, I know a good doula isn't supposed to sway your decision and we should be super professional and supportive, but I can't in good conscience work with a place or provider that I know will sabotage my client's wishes. Maybe some doulas can suck it up, but not THIS one.

We are entitled to our own opinions. Our experience matters. We understand that speaking up could also put us on other people's no-no list, but I can definitely say I don't mind one bit. I didn't plan on working with them anyway.

If you ask, we'll likely share who's on our no-no list. 😉

I was “diagnosed” with Adenomyosis in 2022 and have been living with chronic pain for as long as I remember. After two children, different kinds of birth control, meds and herbs I have made the choice for myself to have a hysterectomy! Send me all the love, light and coffee while I heal and take the time to rest my body. If you have any recovery tips send them my way. ✨

There’s something powerful about the way babies are welcomed in a homebirth space 💗

From their very first breath, everything is designed to support a gentle transition into the world for them.

✨ Immediate, uninterrupted skin-to-skin
✨ Soft lighting instead of bright overheads
✨ Quiet, familiar sounds instead of alarms and chatter
✨ Minimal handling—no passing baby from person to person
✨ Delayed cord clamping, allowing a full, supported transition
✨ All newborn procedures done in your or your partner’s arms
✨ A full newborn exam right on your bed… while you eat a nourishing meal

There’s no rush. No separation. No disruption of those sacred first moments.

Homebirth isn’t just about the birthing person having autonomy, safety, and peace—
it’s about centering the baby and the family as a whole.

It honors that birth is not just a medical event, but a relational one.
A transition not just for a parent, but for a baby arriving into connection, warmth, and belonging.

This is what it means to be born into calm. 🌈✨🫶🏻

Breastfeeding is natural, but that does not always mean it feels easy at first. 💛

This morning at Sweet Child O’ Mine, we’re offering free lactation support from 10 AM to noon.

Come ask questions, get help with latch, talk through supply concerns, troubleshoot pumping, or just sit with other moms who are figuring it out too.

It’s also a sweet opportunity to meet other local moms, connect, and feel a little less alone in the postpartum season.
