Britt Fohrman

Britt Fohrman As an embodiment teacher, doula, coach and photographer, I help women come home to their bodies.

As an embodiment teacher, doula, coach and photographer with over two decades of experience, I help women come home to their bodies through yoga, meditation, breathwork, somatic practices, relational mindfulness and 1:1 coaching. I specialize in sharing practices to tone the pelvic floor, enliven sexual energy and relieve pain and numbness, so that women can enjoy all the pleasure their bodies hav

e to offer. Within the loving space I hold, my clients can feel deeper into their bodies, allowing whatever is needed to be felt and expressed, liberating them into a life led by their desires and values. Through these embodied journeys, my clients release blocks to pleasure, confidence and ease, while deepening their connection to their bodies and expanding their capacity to open more easily for their pleasure, their power, and if pregnant (or desiring to be), for their babies. I founded the Juicy Ladies community in 2018, with the intention to bring more embodied joy, pleasure and connection into the lives of women of all ages and life stages. I love helping women remember that they are strong, wise and intuitive, guiding them to meet the challenges of life with openness and softness. My playful nature and passion for balancing rest and recreation, creates nourishing practices, empowering mentorship and immersive experiences in community. My 1:1 coaching, retreats, circles and online classes will replenish your reserves and bring you back into your most luscious way of being in both practical and magical ways. Together, we’ll explore transformative practices and grounded rituals that infuse your whole life with more inspiration, balance, clarity and enjoyment. For over 20 years, I’ve been dedicated to educating, inspiring, supporting and sitting in the intensity of it all with childbearing women and their families.

Perimenopause throws a lot of relationships into limbo or stress cycles because we are navigating a whole new intimate landscape.

Who wants to put something more in you when you already feel so full, overwhelmed, tapped out and annoyed?

Most women I talk to need a reset for their intimate lives. They need space and time to feel themselves, to attune to new desires, new boundaries, new fantasies.

We also need time to get to know and come to love our new bodies. This is a process. Like any huge life changing process, we need practices to get us through it.

On 6/6 I’ll be sharing practices that help you attune to where you are now in your body and hold space for you to settle into a loving and connected relationship with your own body. All while being witnessed # and supported by a circle of women walking the path beside you.

Transforming your experience of your body isn’t something you can buy or outsource. It’s not something you learn once and then check off your list.
It’s a practice.

Just like yoga, just like meditation (and birth prep, too!) — the ones who experience the most profound transformation are the ones who stay devoted to it. Not just showing up for the ceremony or the retreat or the ritual and then disappearing back into the same patterns. But actually continuing the practice after.

After 33 years of devoted practice, I keep having to remember… we don’t get to just receive transformation and have it stick. We have to be actively, devotedly engaged in it.

Taking ourselves higher, going deeper, becoming more expansive, more alive, takes consistent, conscious effort. It takes devotion.

No one can transmit that to us and suddenly declare it’s done.

In order to feel good in our bodies, we have to actually be in our bodies.

Listening to them. Tending them. Visiting them regularly, not just taking them for granted and assuming they’ll carry us wherever we want to go.

This is the work of transformation. It’s ongoing. And it’s totally worth it.

✨ If you’re craving a space to practice being in your body alongside other women, come join us at Juicy Ladies Circle this Saturday at Purusha Yoga. Comment “JUICY” and I’ll send you the details.

Rage has a reason!

Anger is a healthy response to injustice, loss, overload, and the relentless expectation to stay calm and functional when your nervous system is screaming otherwise.

We are living through a time of polycrisis.
Genocide. Ecocide. The erosion of human rights and freedoms. The loss of clean water and livable land. The weight of watching the world deconstruct and feeling powerless to stop it.

And then there is everyday life…

deadlines, caregiving, bills, constant alerts, and the pressure to keep functioning no matter what your body is carrying..

Most of us are walking around with shoulders up by our ears, a jaw that will not unclench, a nervous system stuck on high alert, and rage that either erupts at the worst possible moment or never comes at all because it is locked down so tight.

What’s Rage Yoga?

Rage Yoga is about creating a dynamic space where that pressure can finally move through your body, with guidance, support, and full permission to stop holding it together for a little while. Your anger gets to be honest here. And human. And held.

When anger has nowhere to go, it comes out sideways as irritability, numbness, snapping at the people you love, shutdown, or exhaustion that sleep does not fix. This workshop gives it somewhere to go.

In this time of becoming Mother, I have been mourning the loss of my Maiden body.  Her definition, the way she looked in jeans, the feeling of knowing her own hotness.

She was a body that may have looked more like how I wish I could look now, even though I was never really satisfied with her.  Always picking her apart.  There was so much struggle in that body that is no longer present in this one. Bringing all the babies through me I became softened, ripened, tenderized, humbled, and through that my body feels safer, more welcoming, more available.

Sadly, many of us enter the Mother season of life and are so stuck in mourning the body of Maiden, that we miss the beauty of Mother, and subsequently, the midlife Medicine Woman.  This is one of many perspectives we’ll play with on June 6 at the Juicy Ladies Circle.

We’ll drop into ritual space and explore how we can align with the season we’re in, and ride that alignment into squeezing every last pleasurable drop of juice out of our summer.

Come as you are.  Let your body speak, reveal and unwind in the welcoming warmth of 25 women and femmes coming together to be more at ease as we are.

Your most reliable guidance is already within you, sometimes you just need someone to hold space while you find your way back to it.

I’m regularly amazed at the way my clients access life-altering wisdom from deep inside themselves. After over 20 years of doing this work, it still moves me.

These are often mothers, healers, and high-achieving women who have spent their lives believing that if they just do more, reach higher, check more boxes, keep everyone happy, they’ll finally feel safe, loved, and stable.

But when we really get into it, they realize: the stability was never out there.

It comes from becoming a safe, loving, compassionate witness to yourself.

So many of us were taught to judge ourselves, turn on ourselves, and sometimes to believe the world is doing it to us, when really, we’ve internalized that voice and are wielding it against our own tender beings. This is one of the many ways we carry patriarchal conditioning inside us.

We get to choose to step outside the toxic patriarchal paradigm and show up for ourselves in a more nourishing, healing way.
Just this week, a client came to me carrying a deep fear around making the “right” choices. Instead of talking about it, we went into it, into the felt sense of it, the imprint it had left in her body. Then I invited her to find the pleasure living inside that fear, and used it as a bridge to embody its opposite. From that resourced place, she was able to tune into the part of herself that truly knows how she wants to run her life and make her decisions.

If you’re moving through a challenge, a big decision, or an ordeal right now, you don’t have to figure it out alone.
Since the beginning of time, we have held space for each other. Listened to each other’s hearts. Validated each other’s experience.
I’d be honored to be that person for you.
Drop “space” in the comments and I’ll send you a link to book a free call — so we can tune into what you really need and find your next steps from within your own wise being.

My womb has been cut, scraped, suctioned, turned inside out.  She’s been imaged, medicated and analyzed more times, and by more people, than I can count.

She was literally taken out of my body and squished back in.

She withstood it all with stunning compliance.  Her most visible wound is healing perfectly in its own sweet time.

She’s been lovingly warmed by witches hands and steams, and gently adjusted to her ideal setting. They offered her herbs, oils, prayers, spells and blessings.  So many blessings. So much awe.

She bled monthly, for 38 years.

Except for when she was holding space for the lives and deaths of 4 star beings.

My womb‘s most magnificent creation is running around wildly on the beach, squealing with delight at the tiniest of treasures. Her own womb growing in her creative capacity each day.

My womb held her safe for 42 ½ weeks.  Fed her my blood, filtered my voice, resonated my nervous system and gifted her my pleasure.

My womb is my link to my an-sisters, and through my daughter, our lineage to come.

My womb is my point of connection with many of you.

She’s still healthy and wealthy with the wisdom of the unseen.

She calls me home.

She’s grateful to receive my breath.

She’s grateful to receive my touch.

She pulsates with pleasure.

She has given and given, and is signaling that the time has come for a change, for us to deepen into a more subtle and reciprocal relationship.

No more ordeals, appeals or manipulation.

No more lives coming and going.

No more bleeding.

No more fertile juices.

No more cramping.

No more longing.

My womb is asking for rest, for quiet companionship, for collaboration in the dark.

My womb tells me that she is still the cauldron of creation.

My womb is calling me deeper in.

She’s asking me to dance in the dark by myself, to drink potions of my own channeling, to take a lover who can meet her in the ecstatic magic of the Great Mystery.

My womb does not care to appear unscathed.

My womb is proud of her scars. The scars that make her medicine all the more potent.

What’s a message you’ve received from your womb?  Please share in the comments!

Something I see again and again with the moms I work with, the ones who are stretched thin, touched out, and running on empty, is that pleasure just doesn’t feel available anymore.

Not because it’s gone. But because we’ve been so deeply trained to orient toward everyone else, toward their needs, their experience, their pleasure, that we’ve quietly disconnected from our own.

We’re attuned to everyone in the house. We’re attuned to our partners. We’re attuned to what our bodies can do for someone else. But when was the last time you turned that attention inward and just got curious about what you feel?

I was in a session recently with a mom who was craving exactly this reconnection. Pleasure was there, but it didn’t feel accessible, especially not on demand in the small windows of time she had for herself.

In about 20 minutes together, using some simple techniques to awaken sensation and bring more presence into her body, she felt more pleasure than she had in a long time. Not because something was fixed. Because she finally turned her attention toward herself.
That’s the missing piece.

When we stop performing and start feeling, when we let go of the idea that we’re there to achieve something or make someone else happy, and we just get genuinely curious about our own sensation and experience, everything opens.

So this weekend, I want to invite you to set that intention.

Let everything else fall away. Come back to your body. Come back to your own pleasure. Stay curious.

See what happens when you become the one you’re attuned to.

Your er0t!c energy can come even more alive during pregnancy.

The power of mother nature is literally multiplying inside of you.

If you ignore or try to push this energy away, you are interrupting the flow that you could be riding into your birth and beyond.

Our birth-fearing culture sucks all the juice out of even the most vibrant and healthy pregnancies, but you have the capacity to keep yourself lit up and tuned in to your innate power.

I’d love to show you how to use this energy to open, soften, and head into your birth with confidence.

Join me for my pssy-centric birth preparation course:

Preparing Your Va**na for Birth

We’ll be gathering in person for three weeks to call in the momentum of the circle as we prepare for birth with yoga, movement, laughter, ancient yoni wisdom, and practical tips for supporting the opening that already wants to happen in your body.

April 16, 23 and 30 Birth + Parenting Hub in SF in San Francisco

If you can’t make it in person, or are not in the Bay Area, check out the online course, available anytime.

In this time of great upheaval, destruction and suffering, you are not powerless.
People with pssies have tremendous influence, places where we can assert our sovereignty
and agency.

We have the power in our bodies to move, to breathe, to change our state and feel our way through the darkness.

We have the power in our hearts to be present, to witness, to feel and express compassion and love.

We have the power of our emotions, our capacity to rage, wail, laugh, delight, and the raw energy we can source from these states when we stop trying to control what’s arising.

We have the power of our minds to come up with creative solutions.

We have the power of community to nurture, hold, and heal us.

We have the power in our psssies to feel pleasure, to give life, to bleed, and not die.

The Juicy Ladies Springtime Circle is your chance to bloom into the next level of your power.

When we thaw ourselves out of the state of frozenness that comes from patriarchy-induced overwhelm, we can more clearly see the big and small places where we can assert our agency.

How can we stay open and tender amidst such intensity and fear of the unknown?

How do we surrender, but not submit?

How do we hear what is being asked of us in this time?

During this circle, we will explore the power of play, pleasure, and self-expression.

You’ll leave feeling the power of your resilience, your capacity to hold yourself, and the power of being held by others.
