Britt Fohrman

Britt Fohrman As an embodiment teacher, doula, coach and photographer, I help women come home to their bodies.

As an embodiment teacher, doula, coach and photographer with over two decades of experience, I help women come home to their bodies through yoga, meditation, breathwork, somatic practices, relational mindfulness and 1:1 coaching. I specialize in sharing practices to tone the pelvic floor, enliven sexual energy and relieve pain and numbness, so that women can enjoy all the pleasure their bodies hav

e to offer. Within the loving space I hold, my clients can feel deeper into their bodies, allowing whatever is needed to be felt and expressed, liberating them into a life led by their desires and values. Through these embodied journeys, my clients release blocks to pleasure, confidence and ease, while deepening their connection to their bodies and expanding their capacity to open more easily for their pleasure, their power, and if pregnant (or desiring to be), for their babies. I founded the Juicy Ladies community in 2018, with the intention to bring more embodied joy, pleasure and connection into the lives of women of all ages and life stages. I love helping women remember that they are strong, wise and intuitive, guiding them to meet the challenges of life with openness and softness. My playful nature and passion for balancing rest and recreation, creates nourishing practices, empowering mentorship and immersive experiences in community. My 1:1 coaching, retreats, circles and online classes will replenish your reserves and bring you back into your most luscious way of being in both practical and magical ways. Together, we’ll explore transformative practices and grounded rituals that infuse your whole life with more inspiration, balance, clarity and enjoyment. For over 20 years, I’ve been dedicated to educating, inspiring, supporting and sitting in the intensity of it all with childbearing women and their families.

Last month I was asked by a client to hold space for her to process childhood trauma that current events brought to the surface. She told me she had a lot that needed to be said, and witnessed, but wasn’t sure that it could all happen in one hour and she didn’t want to have to stop once she started.  I got it immediately.  I invited her to come to my home for a 3 hour ritual session.  We’d offer her process the spaciousness it deserved.

We discussed ahead of time what we were doing, so when she arrived at my home, I knew how I wanted to hold the container, and she was prepared to really let it rip.

I helped her get settled deep inside her most reliable sense of safety, then we dove in.  We gave various parts of her time to speak, be heard and loved, and she got to go until she was done. We wrapped it up with some deep relaxation and a yummy foot massage.

She left lighter, freer, more whole. Complete.  Like her whole system could finally move on.

Do you have something in your life that feels like it needs a ritual of completion?  An old inner or relational dynamic that you are ready to transform?  A life transition that longs to be marked, grieved and celebrated?

If so, I have just the ritual for you!

🌹The Pain to Power Alchemy Ritual🌹
A somatic rite-of-passage for women ready to transform their most significant initiations into sources of power.

We gather in my space (or the location of your choice) and do whatever it takes to move you through the portal till it’s done.  And then we come back together to integrate and celebrate your courage and capacity to transform.

Comment “RITUAL” to learn more about it.  Then we can meet for a free exploratory call to assure it’s a good fit both ways.

I want you to feel complete.  To feel free.  To feel ready to meet the next chapter of your life embodying your full power. Let’s do this!

Bay Area Mamas! In response to how much we all hold and how little space we have to release it, I created a practice called Mom Rage Yoga. I’ll be holding a safe space to honor and alchemize what you’re feeling, so you spend lees time trying to hold it all in and more time enjoying your life. We’ll move, breathe, release and relax. July 18 @ MettaYoga in San Rafael. I hope to see you there!

Join Britt Fohrman at Metta Mama for a somatic yoga and emotional release workshop for mothers who are done pretending they're fine! Motherhood can be breathtaking. It can also make you feel like you are one more question, one more sticky hand, one more "Maaaamaaaa!" away from snapping

After my last video, several people reached out, asking how to have a conversation about deepening in intimacy together, especially when she is needing him to become more attuned to her body in all of the ways that it has changed.

Of course, every relationship is different, but what I would suggest is to start with softness, vulnerability, and an invitation to go deeper, to have more fun together, and to acknowledge that it’s going to be awkward and that you’re OK with that.

It may be helpful to let him know that you’re interested in collaborating and not just trying to send him off to therapy to work on his own s**t by himself or make him wrong about something, but instead to let him know that you want to do this experiment together.

Let me know how it goes! Or what has worked for you!

I’m here for you if you want support in getting clear about what you actually wanna say to your partner.

And remember, it usually doesn’t work to come at him with your rage! That’s what circles, coaching and sister support are for. He can most likely hear you better if you come to him with grounded softness.

DM me anytime!

Feeling unhinged over here and totally fed up with how many men are wasting the opportunity to meet the glorious women in their lives.

I can’t tell you how many women I know who are doing such incredible, transformative work and yet there’s only so far they can get if their partners are unwilling to do work on themselves.

So many of these women are overwhelmed at the thought of trying to push their partners to show up more fully as they already bear the incredible weight of all of the other emotional and invisible labor in their families.

I’m pretty sure this is one of the main reasons why people’s marriages fall apart so often. Why so many women feel unsatisfied, unhappy, lacking turn on and desire.

My work is all about helping women get to a place where they believe that they are worthy to be met in partnership, where you have the confidence, the self trust and the clarity to ask for, or even demand, what you really want.

But of course, we can’t go and scream in their faces. They’ll never hear us. You might’ve even tried that before.

We need spaces where we can scream and have a tantrum together, where we can be held in our rage and frustration, our grief, our loneliness, and as we let all of that move through us, we can then come to our partners from a place of strength and rootedness in this deep knowing that there is more for us.

If you want support in moving the rage through your body so that you can have clear, grounded, compassionate conversations, comment RAGE and I’ll share the invites.

We’ll be raging online in June and in person in July.

A massive shift came in my life when I realized how much energy I was wasting on not loving my body.

After a ton of work, I realized that we get to experience so much more pleasure, ease, joy, power when we choose to relate to our bodies in a loving way. So anytime I notice that the old critical voices are getting louder, I intentionally choose to consider how I want to feel, and make the choice to head in that direction.

Of course, this takes practice and resources, and that’s what I am all about offering and teaching inside of my containers, especially in this weekend’s Juicy Ladies Circle.

Comment “JUICY” and I’ll share the invite.

I’d be honored to help you shift from picking your body apart to loving it into wholeness.

Summertime lends itself to delighting in sensual pleasures.

Yet when we’re stuck in our heads, comparing, measuring, or trying to control our bodies, it shuts down our capacity to fully enjoy ourselves.

Instead of getting your body ready for summer, what would it take for you to step into your body and into all the pleasures summer has waiting for you, just as you are?

Join the Juicy Ladies’ summer season opener as we delve into radical body love and build community with inspiring women and non-binary friends dedicated to self-love, growth, and play.

Come home to yourself within this circle, as we celebrate the magic and magnificence of our bodies.

No matter where you are with yours right now, you’ll leave feeling lit up, liberated, and ready to enjoy everything your body has to offer this season.

Perimenopause throws a lot of relationships into limbo or stress cycles because we are navigating a whole new intimate landscape.

Who wants to put something more in you when you already feel so full, overwhelmed, tapped out and annoyed?

Most women I talk to need a reset for their intimate lives. They need space and time to feel themselves, to attune to new desires, new boundaries, new fantasies.

We also need time to get to know and come to love our new bodies. This is a process. Like any huge life changing process, we need practices to get us through it.

On 6/6 I’ll be sharing practices that help you attune to where you are now in your body and hold space for you to settle into a loving and connected relationship with your own body. All while being witnessed # and supported by a circle of women walking the path beside you.

Transforming your experience of your body isn’t something you can buy or outsource. It’s not something you learn once and then check off your list.
It’s a practice.

Just like yoga, just like meditation (and birth prep, too!) — the ones who experience the most profound transformation are the ones who stay devoted to it. Not just showing up for the ceremony or the retreat or the ritual and then disappearing back into the same patterns. But actually continuing the practice after.

After 33 years of devoted practice, I keep having to remember… we don’t get to just receive transformation and have it stick. We have to be actively, devotedly engaged in it.

Taking ourselves higher, going deeper, becoming more expansive, more alive, takes consistent, conscious effort. It takes devotion.

No one can transmit that to us and suddenly declare it’s done.

In order to feel good in our bodies, we have to actually be in our bodies.

Listening to them. Tending them. Visiting them regularly, not just taking them for granted and assuming they’ll carry us wherever we want to go.

This is the work of transformation. It’s ongoing. And it’s totally worth it.

✨ If you’re craving a space to practice being in your body alongside other women, come join us at Juicy Ladies Circle this Saturday at Purusha Yoga. Comment “JUICY” and I’ll send you the details.
