Dearest family
With much sadness my mom passed on Friday peacefully at home surrounded by her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Diane Renaud, 94. Born and raised in Fall River, MA during the Great Depression and her formative years during WWII.
She was the eldest of 5 siblings and took on teaching her family English as a child.
She became a gifted seamstress starting at a young age in the textile mills of Fall River.
Then at 18 she married the love of her life Robert. During his military service of the Korean War, she joined him in France. They travelled the continents and was stationed in different areas of the country. Then they settled in Attleboro, MA for over 60 years. Their lives together spanned over 75 years.
She was a stay at home mom. She clipped coupons, made most of our clothes and meals and taught us kids traditional crafts of sewing, knitting and crocheting (and so much more) 🧵
Together they raised 3 children. They had a big part in raising 3 of their 5 grandchildren. And they were blessed to be a part of 5 great grandchildren's lives.
Her love was definitely in her craftsmanship and in her family. We all had full lives because of her.
Bye Ma!
