šŸ‚ It’s time to share what we’ve been creating…

Introducing
THE AUTUMN PAUSE.

A Nature-Based Wellness & Personal Reflection Experience created and guided by Transformative Awakenings, LLC, surrounded by the beautiful landscape of Barn on the Hill Homestead.

šŸ“… Saturday, October 10, 2026
šŸ•“ 4:00–7:00 PM

Sometimes we don’t need to completely reset.

Sometimes we simply need to pause.

To step away from the noise and demands of everyday life. To breathe. To notice what’s around us. To reconnect — with nature, with others, and with ourselves.

Throughout this intimate three-hour experience, we’ll move through different spaces of the homestead — among the evergreens, beside the flowing creek, around the lotus pond, and eventually gather together as the autumn evening settles in.

🌲 Grounding & nature connection
šŸ’§ Mindfulness & guided reflection
🪷 Quiet moments for personal reflection
šŸ‚ Connection & seasonal nourishment
šŸ”„ A meaningful closing experience

And while The Autumn Pause is not psychotherapy or mental-health treatment, it is thoughtfully created and guided by a Licensed Professional Counselor, drawing upon professional experience with mindfulness, reflection, grounding, personal growth and meaningful connection.

You’ll be guided throughout the experience — this isn’t simply time spent outdoors. Each part of the journey is being intentionally designed to invite you to slow down, reflect, reconnect and engage with the natural environment in a meaningful way.

Attendance will be intentionally limited to preserve the peaceful, personal nature of the experience.

Registration details are coming next.

For now, save the date. šŸ¤Ž

Last week, we told you something beautiful was coming this fall… šŸ‚

Today, we’re sharing the next little piece.

This fall, Transformative Awakenings, LLC is stepping beyond four walls and into nature at Barn on the Hill Homestead. 🌿

We’ve spent time walking this beautiful property and thoughtfully imagining how its natural spaces can become part of an intimate experience designed to help us slow down, reconnect and simply be present.

The trees.
The water.
The open air.
The quiet spaces.

Each will have a part in the journey.

We’re not revealing everything quite yet… but we’re getting closer. 🪷

Next week, we’ll tell you what we’ve been creating.

We’ve been quietly creating something special for this fall… šŸ‚

Something that takes Transformative Awakenings beyond four walls and into nature.

A place to slow down.
To breathe.
To reconnect.
To reflect.
And simply be present for a while.

Transformative Awakenings is partnering with a beautiful local homestead to create an intimate, nature-based experience centered around grounding, reflection, connection, nourishment and renewal.

We’re keeping the details under wraps for just a little longer. šŸ˜‰

But if life has been asking a lot of you lately, you may want to stay close.

More is coming soon. šŸ

From still water…
a quiet beginning.

From the break…
new life.

The lotus does not fear the dark—
it becomes because of it.

This Part of Healing Is Often Misunderstood

Not all healing feels expansive.

In clinical work, there is a phase where individuals report:
• feeling less emotionally reactive
• withdrawing from social engagement
• needing more space than they once did

This is often interpreted as disconnection, regression, or even depression.

But there is another way to understand it.

From a nervous system perspective, this can reflect:

A protective adaptation.
A temporary narrowing of emotional bandwidth
in response to prolonged stress, demands, or emotional overload.

In other words…

What looks like ā€œless feelingā€
may actually be the body’s way of preserving stability.

This is one of the many themes I explore in my upcoming work:

2026

Let’s enter this new year without resolutions—
just a willingness to keep showing up.

For some time now, I’ve been tending a body of work quietly.
A slow, unfolding project called Transformative Awakenings.

I chose that name years ago because it reflects the kind of change I believe in—
not sudden reinvention,
but the small, honest awakenings that happen
when we stay present long enough to listen.

The moments when something softens.
When truth surfaces.
When we meet ourselves with a little more compassion than before.

There’s no timeline. No release date.
Just a steady return—to the page, to presence, to truth.

This piece feels like the right way to begin the year.
Not with promises or resolutions, but with intention.

A Willingness to Keep Showing Up
Transformative Awakenings • Becoming, gently.

Feeling sad during the holidays, often called the ā€œholiday blues,ā€ is a common experience. There are several reasons this might happen:

1. High Expectations
The holidays are often portrayed as a time of joy, family togetherness, and celebration, which can create pressure to feel happy and fulfilled. If reality doesn’t match these expectations, it can lead to sadness or disappointment.

2. Loneliness or Isolation
If you’re far from loved ones, have a strained family dynamic, or lack close connections, the holidays can amplify feelings of loneliness.

3. Grief or Loss
The holidays can bring up memories of loved ones who have passed away or highlight changes in relationships, making the season feel bittersweet or sorrowful.

4. Seasonal Affective Disorder (SAD)
The shorter days and limited sunlight during winter months can lead to depressive symptoms for some people.

5. Financial Stress
The pressure to buy gifts, travel, or participate in holiday activities can create financial strain, leading to anxiety and sadness.

6. Overwhelming Responsibilities
Managing family gatherings, cooking, decorating, and other holiday tasks can feel overwhelming, leaving little time for self-care.
