On Saturday, we joined the Seattle community for the Walk to End Alzheimer’s, and we’re still feeling grateful.

Grateful for the chance to walk alongside families like Cheryl and Frank Poulsen. Frank is a NewDays patient, and together they’ve shared their journey with Alzheimer’s to help others feel less alone.

Grateful for every patient, caregiver, family member, clinician, and friend who showed up to support this cause.

One of the things that makes the Walk so meaningful is that everyone is there for someone. A parent. A spouse. A friend. A neighbor.

We’re proud to stand with the Alzheimer’s community and the Alzheimer’s Association in the fight to end Alzheimer’s—and to keep working toward more good days for people living with dementia and the people who care for them.

September is World Alzheimer’s Month, a time to raise awareness about the impact dementia has on millions of individuals and families. 💜

Two powerful findings show why support matters:

🧠 When cognitive changes are treated early and consistently, people can maintain important cognitive function for longer. Our research, presented at AAIC, found participants preserved cognitive function for up to a year and a half longer than expected.

🤝 When caregivers receive meaningful support, education, and counseling, people living with dementia are able to remain in their own homes about a year and a half longer. That finding comes from the landmark NYU Caregiver Intervention study.

The takeaway? Families shouldn’t have to choose between supporting the person living with dementia and supporting the caregiver. Both matter.

We’re proud to partner with Nolia Health to help connect families with the care, guidance, and resources they need along the way.

Memory loss, Dementia, and Alzheimer’s are medical concerns, not personal failures.

In this video, NewDays clinician Stephanie Sattar shares a message we wish more people heard: experiencing cognitive changes is nothing to be ashamed of, and asking for support is a sign of strength.

Reducing stigma starts with understanding, compassion, and open conversations 💙

Watch Stephanies message and share it with someone who may need to hear it.

Caring for someone with memory loss often means putting your own needs last. But brain health matters for caregivers, too.

Join Daniel Kelly, Co-founder at NewDays, for a free virtual caregiver education session: Brain Health for Two — Supporting Your Loved One’s Cognition and Your Own.

Daniel will share what current research tells us about neuroplasticity, cognitive therapy, and practical ways to support brain health at any stage. Drawing from both the science and his family’s experience with dementia, he’ll explore approaches that can help caregivers and their loved ones navigate the journey together.

There’s a difference between managing dementia and treating it.

Families deserve both.

Managing it is knowing what to say, how to keep the house safe, what to do about the insurance maze, what tonight might look like. Our friends at Simon Care Management teach exactly that, plainly, in short lessons, in an app that turns it into a daily routine.

Treating it is something else. Cognitive rehabilitation is physical therapy for the brain: twice-monthly telehealth visits with a cognitive specialist, plus short daily exercises at home. It’s covered by Medicare. And it’s work that belongs to the person living with the change - not something done to you.

We’ve built a course inside the Simon app on what cognitive rehab is and how to start.

Whether you’re the one with the diagnosis or the one beside them, there’s something here for you to do.

In a recent conversation with AnswersForElders , NewDays Chief Innovation Officer Daniel Kelly shared why cognitive rehabilitation is often described as “physical therapy for the brain.” helping individuals practice cognitive skills, stay engaged in daily life, and continue participating in the activities that matter most.

The goal isn’t perfection. It’s supporting independence, confidence, connection, and quality of life.

If you or someone you love is experiencing memory concerns, know that there are options available.

We’re in Nevada! As of today, more than a third of everyone in the US over 65 lives somewhere NewDays is available.

Here’s what keeps us going: Cognitive rehabilitation is proven to work - more than 300 randomized clinical trials plus our own clinical results - and hardly anyone is ever offered it. We’re working to change that, one state at a time.

Nevada makes six.

Know someone in Nevada? We would love to meet and serve our first Nevadans.

Visits with a licensed cognitive clinician, daily brain exercises at home, and it’s covered by Medicare.
More help, to more people. Treatment that works.
