Training for the moments that matter! 🚁

Over the past few weeks, our team has been busy partnering with local EMS agencies and community partners to host Landing Zone Trainings.

A huge thank you to:

🚒 Upsala Fire / Upsala EMS & Camp Lebanon staff

These trainings help first responders and air medical crews work together to establish safe and effective landing zones when a helicopter is needed. Strong partnerships and continued training help ensure we're ready to provide the best possible care when every second counts.

Thursday, Life Link III had the opportunity to meet with state leaders from across Wisconsin to share more about our mission and the critical role air medical transport plays in connecting patients with the care they need.

Our conversations focused on the importance of maintaining access to critical care, particularly for rural communities where distance and time can significantly impact a patient’s ability to reach the right level of care. We also discussed some of the challenges facing nonprofit air medical providers and the importance of protecting access to these essential services throughout Wisconsin.

We’re grateful to Sen. Rob Stafsholt, Rep. Chanz Green, Rep. Duke Tucker, Dr. Erik Severson, Sen. Romaine Quinn, Rep. Rob Kreibich, and Rep. Dave Armstrong for taking the time to meet with us, ask thoughtful questions, and learn more about the patients and communities we serve.

We appreciate the opportunity to continue elevating the importance of critical care access and the role Life Link III plays in Wisconsin’s healthcare infrastructure.

Life Link III was grateful to be invited to participate in the dedication of the Merrill Municipal Airport's new aircraft maintenance hangar last Friday and share how the airport supports our operations through fuel stops, ground intercepts, and as a resource when weather impacts access to other airports in the region.

This new hangar will also support an apprenticeship program for high school and college students interested in aircraft maintenance. Developing the next generation of aviation professionals is critical to organizations like ours and the future of aviation across the region.

Thank you to the Merrill Municipal Airport for including Life Link III in the celebration, and to Congressman Tom Tiffany and representation from Wisconsin State Senator Mary Felzkowski’s office for joining the community in recognizing this important investment.
