If you live in Walla Walla, you can see me without driving to Spokane.

I am a board certified Ob-Gyn, certified by The Menopause Society, and I see women by telehealth anywhere in Washington, Idaho, and Oregon. Walla Walla, College Place, Dayton, Milton-Freewater, the Tri-Cities. Hormone care from your own kitchen table.

Telehealth with me is not a five minute video and a prescription. Your first visit is a full hour. Labs are drawn at any LabCorp near you, on your schedule, with the order already on file. After that you have unlimited visits and unlimited messaging while we get your dose right, which is what determines whether you feel better.

I have appointments open this month, and if you book and pay for the menopause evaluation by October 31, your first month of membership comes with it, which covers the weeks when we are adjusting your dose.

You will not need to take a half day off work to be seen, and you will not need to find childcare to talk about your own body.

If you would rather come to Spokane, come to Spokane. We are on West 1st Avenue downtown and on North University Road in Spokane Valley. The hour is the same either way.

And yes, ask me about our walk and talks.

Weight management isn’t just about a number on the scale.

When we talk about weight at Pinnacle Wellness, we’re thinking about the years ahead: protecting your joints, supporting cardiovascular and metabolic health, maintaining strength and mobility, and having the energy to keep doing the things you love.

That’s why sustainable weight management looks different from a quick-fix diet. We look at the whole picture—your labs, hormones, metabolic health, lifestyle, medications, and goals—and build a plan that makes sense for your body.

Because the goal isn’t simply to weigh less. It’s to stay strong, capable, and healthy for as long as possible.

At Pinnacle Wellness in Spokane, our physician-led weight management care is available by telehealth across Washington, Oregon, and Idaho.

Myth: only a handful of cancers can be screened for. Fact: the Galleri test looks for a signal of 50 or more.

During Breast Cancer Awareness Month, the reminder matters. Galleri is a single blood draw that looks for cell-free DNA that tumors can shed. It doesn't replace your mammogram or colonoscopy, it complements them and widens the net. It's a signal, not a diagnosis, and we walk you through the results either way.

We offer the Galleri test at Pinnacle Wellness in Spokane, with pre- and post-test consultation. In person or by telehealth across Washington and Idaho.
Educational content, not a diagnostic guarantee. Screening tests have limitations we'll review with you.

"Your labs were normal." I hear that sentence from women almost every day, usually as the reason nobody looked any further.

What does not get explained: in perimenopause, hormone levels swing day to day and hour to hour. A single FSH or estradiol draw catches one moment in a moving system. For most women over 45, the diagnosis comes from symptoms and cycle history rather than a lab value, which is what The Menopause Society and the UK NICE guideline both say. A normal panel does not rule it out.

So when a woman is handed a printout and told she is fine, while she is sleeping four hours a night, snapping at people she loves, and aching in joints that never ached before, the labs did not answer her question. Nobody asked it.

I still draw labs, and I use them alongside an hour of your history. They shape the plan after I have heard the story, not instead of hearing it.

If that is you, sleeping four hours and being told your numbers are fine: I've got you.

This is a year of menopause care with me, told the way it really happens.

She comes in for an hour. Her whole history, her labs, a plan written down. By week six her dose has been adjusted twice and she is sleeping through the night for the first time in two years. At month three her labs confirm what she already feels, and the fog lifts.

Then the part nobody else offers. Every month after that is hers. Cardiovascular health. Coaching. Food that fits her life. We work on her as a whole person, because she is more than a few hormone levels. As many hours as she needs, dedicated to her, with no hospital system and no insurance rules deciding what she is allowed to have.

In the spring we fine tune her diet, and a repeat body composition scan shows both her bone and her muscle mass have gone up. In the summer we take on libido and painful s*x, the things she almost did not mention at all. A few months later she is in tears in my office, telling me she can finally enjoy her s*x life again.

She says she feels like herself. Her husband says he got his wife back.

That is what a membership buys, and it is why women stay with me for years instead of months.

October only: book and pay for the HRT, perimenopause and menopause evaluation by October 31 and your first month of Pinnacle Plus is included, so you get unlimited visits and unlimited messaging through the weeks when the dose is getting dialed in. Reposting my creatine reel, because the questions keep coming.

Creatine is one of the most studied supplements we have, with a strong safety profile in healthy adults. It's not just for gym bros, and it matters even more as we age and fight to hold onto muscle. We carry Thorne creatine at Pinnacle Wellness in Spokane.
About 3 to 5g a day, any time. And no, it won't make you bulky.

Questions on dosing? DM us, or ask in the comments.

Unpopular opinion from a physician: October is a better reset than January 1st.

Think about it. Routines are in full swing in October, school, schedules, structure. January gives you dark mornings and a gym full of strangers who’ll be gone by February.
You’ve also have months before year-end, enough time to make meaningful progress before the holidays, not a guilt-ridden cleanup after them. You arrive at the holidays with momentum instead of dread.

That’s why our fall reset consults are open now at Pinnacle Wellness in Spokane. A physician, your labs, and a plan— telehealth across Washington, Oregon, and Idaho.

A version of this woman sits in my perimenopause clinic most weeks. Early 40s, two periods last month, cried at a car commercial, and somebody told her it was probably stress.

That is perimenopause, and almost nobody hands you a map. Mine looks like this.

Perimenopause is the transition, and it can run for years. Studies of the transition put the average at around four years, with a range from a few months to more than a decade. It often starts in the early 40s, sometimes the late 30s, and it can begin while your periods are still perfectly regular. Estrogen does not glide down. It swings, and the swings are what you feel.

Menopause itself is a single point on the calendar, 12 months after your final period. In the US that lands around age 51 on average. Everything before is perimenopause, everything after is postmenopause, and that is most of your adult life.

You will get told you are too young at 43 and too late at 55. Neither is a medical assessment.

I am a board certified Ob-Gyn, certified by The Menopause Society, and I have heard your list of symptoms before. You will not spend your hour teaching me what perimenopause is.

Menopause care in Spokane, and by telehealth across Washington, Idaho, and Oregon: this is Dr. Claire Templin.

October is Menopause Awareness Month, so this is the right week to tell you who handles this at Pinnacle Wellness. Dr. Templin is a board certified Ob-Gyn, DO, FACOOG, and she is certified by The Menopause Society. That certification takes dedicated study and a board exam in menopause medicine, and it is still uncommon.

What she treats: perimenopause, menopause, hormone therapy, vaginal and urinary symptoms, low libido, and the sleep, mood, and joint complaints that get written off as stress.

For the clinicians who follow this account: she practices from Menopause Society guidance, screens history and contraindications before prescribing, and sends her assessment and plan back to you. If you have a patient you do not have an hour for, she does.

Where to find her: by telehealth if you live anywhere in Washington, Idaho, or Oregon. That includes Spokane, Walla Walla, the Tri-Cities, and every small town in between.

Her schedule has openings this month. October only: book and pay for the HRT, perimenopause and menopause evaluation by October 31 and your first month of Pinnacle Plus is included, so you get unlimited visits and unlimited messaging through the weeks when the dose is getting dialed in. This one applies to the menopause evaluation, not our other packages.

October is Menopause Awareness Month, and this is the connection no one explains: menopause changes your metabolism.

As estrogen shifts, so does where you store fat, how you handle blood sugar, and how easily you hold muscle. It's not a willpower problem. It's physiology, and it responds to the right plan.

Dr. Templin builds that plan with women at Pinnacle Wellness in Spokane, and by telehealth in Washington, Idaho, and Oregon.
