The Illinois Council on Developmental Disabilities is sharing this information about upcoming Listening Sessions about the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program, (SNAP).
The information in this message was taken from a communication published earlier by the Illinois Department of Human Services.
In June, the University of Illinois Extension, in partnership with Illinois Commission to End Hunger, is hosting a series of SNAP Listening Sessions across Illinois. The goal of these sessions is to better understand how recent federal SNAP changes are impacting community members and the organizations that support them.
The sessions are part of a statewide effort to gather feedback, hear directly from communities, and better understand how SNAP changes are affecting Illinoisans. Community members are encouraged to attend a session and share this information with your networks.
There was one in-person session in early June. There will be a second in-person session later the month. 𝗙𝗼𝗿 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗶𝗻-𝗽𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗼𝗻 𝘀𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻, 𝗿𝗲𝗴𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗶𝘀 𝗻𝗼𝘁 𝗿𝗲𝗾𝘂𝗶𝗿𝗲𝗱.
