On Monday, May 18, Stillwater Medical proudly sponsored and participated in the Annual Cowboys vs. Cancer Golf Tournament at Stillwater Country Club, benefiting The Eddie Sutton Foundation ⛳🧡

Funds raised through this meaningful event directly support children and families fighting cancer by providing essential resources, advancing research, and creating impactful experiences during difficult times.

The Foundation is especially grateful for The Eddie Sutton Foundation’s continued generosity and commitment to our community. Through their support, more than $100,000 has been contributed to Karman Korner, helping provide comfort and support to cancer patients at Stillwater Medical.

Some stories deserve to be shared more than once. 💙

Dr. Lee Bird embodies the heart of compassionate care. Through her volunteer work in the Emergency Room, she brings calm, comfort, and connection to patients and families during some of life’s most difficult moments.

Her story is a beautiful reminder that healing goes far beyond medicine—it’s found in presence, kindness, and simply showing up for others.

If you haven’t listened to this episode of the Still Caring Podcast yet, take a moment to hear her incredible journey. It’s one you’ll carry with you long after it ends.

Some people volunteer… and then there are people like Dr. Lee Bird.

What started as “just helping out” after retirement has turned into something so much bigger. In our Emergency Room, Lee is a steady presence in moments that can feel overwhelming—offering comfort, answering questions, and simply being there when patients and families need it most.

Her story is powerful. From a lifetime of service shaped by her parents, to surviving life-threatening moments of her own, to choosing—again and again—to show up for others… Lee reminds us what true compassion looks like.

She doesn’t just volunteer. She bridges the gap between medicine and humanity.

Some lessons start early — and generosity is one of the best. 🩵

Last weekend, Josie and Beau, the daughter and son of Women of Wellness Chair and Foundation Board Member Megan Stivers, set up a lemonade stand and chose to donate every dollar they earned to support the OnCue NICU.

"Start 'em young," they say — and we couldn't agree more.

Josie and Beau, your kindness is inspiring, your hearts are big, and your impact is real. Thank you for making a difference in the lives of our tiniest patients and their families! 🩵
