Do you feel it?
That tiny shift in the air...
The break in the heat.
The mornings beginning to soften.
The evenings inviting us outside again.
The unmistakable Phoenix signal that says:
It's time to come back out.
Yes, we know the Valley of the Sun isn't finished with summer yet. 😂
But something is changing.
And perhaps you feel it in yourself, too.
That little urge to sweep out the corners...
Reorganize...
Clear some space...
Try something different...
Make room for the version of yourself you've been thinking about becoming.
I think September is a beautiful time for that.
Not a "New Year, New You."
Not another list of things you should be doing.
Something much more interesting:
What if you consciously created a life you actually enjoy living?
What if September became a month of choosing differently? 🌀
I'm declaring a No-Spend September—not as deprivation, but as an experiment in conscious creation.
Because every dollar is also a vote.
Every purchase sends energy somewhere.
So what happens when we become a little more intentional about where that energy goes?
What if, instead of automatically sending our money toward another streaming subscription, we went to a local theater?
Instead of spending every Saturday watching someone else's team play, we joined a neighborhood league—our kids cheering from the sidelines while they watched US play.
Instead of automatically filling the gas tank for every little trip,
we walked...
carpooled...
or experimented with public transportation.
Not because we have to be perfect consumers.
But because we have choices.
And choices are powerful.
Especially when we make them together.
Because wellness isn't only what happens inside a treatment room.
Wellness is also:
Who knows your name?
Who notices when you haven't been around?
Who can you call when you need go for a walk?
Who celebrates your tiny victories?
Where do your dollars circulate?
Where do your children see you participating?
Who gets to experience the best, most curious, most alive version of you?
Community is wellness.
And I want to create more of it here in the Valley.
🚶♀️ WALKING WEDNESDAY IS BACK!
I'm bringing back a slightly evolved version of my old W**d Walking Wednesdays from South Phoenix.
This time, we're simply walking.
No agenda.
No fitness requirement.
No pace to keep up with.
Just people moving their bodies and getting to know one another.
Wednesday, September 9 at 8 AM
Margaret T. Hance Park
Meet in the parking lot off 3rd Street, after school drop-off.
It's FREE.
Bring water.
Bring your kids if they're with you.
Bring a friend.
Bring yourself exactly as you are.
Coffee is welcome.
Cannabis is welcome.
But you'll need to BYO. 😉
Because this isn't about creating another thing you have to purchase.
It's about creating a reason to step outside.
To move.
To breathe.
To connect.
And perhaps to remember that you don't have to build your life alone.
🍂 AND THEN...
LET'S GET OUT OF THE VALLEY.
I'm taking a small group to Dolores, Colorado, October 9–12 for an intimate Fall Retreat.
And when I say small...
I mean six spaces.
This isn't a giant retreat center with 40 strangers and a packed itinerary.
It's more like:
Grab your bestie.
Get in the car.
Let's go see the leaves.
We'll drive through the changing landscape...
hike a canyon from top to bottom...
soak in a hot spring...
practice yoga...
meditate...
enjoy massage...
and leave some completely unstructured space for journaling, crafting, conversation...
or sleeping.
Because apparently rest is an activity we need to schedule now. 😂
The retreat is $400 for the weekend, currently not including food.
And yes...
the accommodations are shared-bed style.
Which means this is your sign to text the friend you've been saying,
"We really need to get away together."
Because you do.
Creating space for conscious change
You need space to discover the version of yourself that feels most like you.
That's a big part of what I'm creating through Into ME I See.
The meditations are available to you wherever you are.
The companion journals give you somewhere to take the experience deeper.
And my in-person work—massage, somatic bodywork, yoga, breathwork, hypnosis, and guided experiences—offers another layer:
a human being beside you while you explore your own.
Different doors.
Same intention.
Helping you consciously create your most favorite self.
And sometimes...
the most powerful personal development isn't another hour spent alone trying to improve yourself.
Sometimes it's walking with someone.
Laughing with someone.
Trying something new.
Getting out of town.
Letting yourself be supported.
Remembering that you belong HERE, on this Earth, in this community.
💛 HELP ME GROW THIS COMMUNITY
If you know a woman who is rebuilding her life...
A mother who hasn't had a moment to herself in forever...
A single mom who could use some grown-up conversation...
A woman navigating divorce or a major life transition...
Someone who keeps saying, "I really need to do something for myself..."
Send her this newsletter.
Invite her to Walking Wednesday.
Share an Into ME I See meditation with her.
Bring her to class.
Or grab one of the six retreat spots together.
You don't need to convince her.
Just open the door.
Because sometimes the person who needs community the most is the person who doesn't know how to ask for it.
And if someone comes to MaeUBe Wellness because you sent them...
know that the peace we're are creating will ripple outward and I will be most grateful for the opportunity to do what I love.
So, September...🍃
Let's experiment.
Let's spend a little more intentionally.
Move a little more.
Buy a little more locally.
Put our phones down long enough to notice the sunset.
Bring our children into our communities instead of always entertaining them at home.
Try something we've never tried.
Invite someone along.
And make room for a life that feels...
more like ours.
Because conscious creation doesn't always look like a vision board.
Sometimes it looks like a pair of walking shoes.
A bus pass.
A local theater ticket.
A yoga mat.
A journal.
A road trip.
A hot spring.
A friend sitting beside you.
Or six women saying,
"Okay. Let's actually go."
I'm ready.
Are you?
With love,
Jennie Mae

P.S. The Dolores retreat has only six spaces because I want this gathering to stay intimate. If you're feeling that little "I need this" feeling, listen to it. And if your first thought was, "I wish [her name] would come with me," send her this email. 💛
May you find peace for your pieces
