To prepare for your float we have you take a pre float shower which is located in your private float room. We have you shower to remove any oils, dirt, lotion, deodorant, etc from your hair and skin to help keep our float tanks in tip top shape. We suggest showering with lukewarm water to ensure the float tank doesn’t seem cold (if you do a scalding hot shower 95 degree may seem chilly.) For your pre float shower we have you shampoo your hair only, no conditioner, and wash your body. After you float we have you shower again (which you can go as hot as you want) to remove all the salt off your body and then you can use shampoo, conditioner, and body wash.

When doing a tandem float we suggest lightly touching the other person you are floating with so you stay in sync with each other and don’t bump into each other. We suggest holding hands or clasping a finger together but whatever you are comfortable with is fine by us!

What do you like to do after your float? Some people like to rest the remainder of the day, sleep, conquer the world, eat, etc. There’s no wrong to enjoy your post float glow ;)

For your float you may float n**e or in a bathing suit. We want you to be as comfortable as possible. Each of our rooms is completely private with a private shower (unless of course you are doing a tandem float.) We suggest floating n**e because sometimes a bathing suit can cause you to feel chilly or you can feel the suit on with your heightened senses. If you are going to wear a suit please bring a bag to bring your wet suit home in.

A float date is calling your name 😉 Both of our tanks are large enough to fit 2 people in so if you’re looking for something different to do together try a tandem float ☺️

When you come in for your float our staff will go over all the details of floating with us prior to starting your session but if you like to prepare yourself here is what we go over:

-We explain where the bathrooms are and where to put your shoes, coats, and other belongings.
-Then we go over the pre float procedure and explain everything in the room (the pre float procedure is to undress or put your bathing suit on, put your earplugs in, take a lukewarm shower using body wash and shampoo only, no conditioner, use the makeup remover wipe if needed to remove makeup, and then put petroleum jelly on any cuts or scrapes)
-After that we explain how to float and what to expect.
-Lastly we go over your post float shower, where to leave the items you used, and where to blowdry your hair or get ready if you need extra time.
-Then we leave you to get your float on! (Don’t worry we also leave info in the room with everything we go over in case you missed anything we said.)

If you have questions during the introduction feel free to ask away! No question is silly as we just want you to have a nice, relaxing time.

If you’ve floated before and short on time try a 30 or 45 minute float. It may be just what you need! Of course you can do those lengths if you haven’t floated before but we suggest 60 minutes for your first float to have enough time to get used to floating and get comfortable. The more often you float the easier and faster it is to get in the float zone.
