Your first postpartum pelvic floor PT visit can feel intimidating if you've never been before — so let's take some of the mystery out of it.

It starts with a conversation, not an exam. Then, at your pace and always with your consent, a physical assessment that helps build a full picture of what's actually going on and what recovery looks like for you.

Katie Bayer, PT, DPT walks through exactly what to expect at a postpartum pelvic floor PT assessment — no guesswork, no pressure, just real answers. Read the full post on the Be Hive blog, link in bio 🐝

Becoming a mom is a major transition — much like adolescence, it comes with huge physical, emotional, and hormonal shifts. It's called matrescence, and it's real.

What people don't always tell you is that grief can live right alongside the joy — grief for the person you were, the freedom you had, the identity that's shifting under your feet. Two things can be true at once.

This week in our Mom League newborn group, moms got honest about the rollercoaster of this season — from anticipatory anxiety around returning to work, to the exhaustion of the daily grind, to the quiet comparison trap of social media highlight reels.

Did you know babies are only born with two fears — falling and loud noises? Everything we instinctively do to soothe them (swaddling, rocking, shushing) works because it signals safety. And that safety matters for feeding too. 🍼

Our Mom League newborn group got to hear from Laci Tang, IBCLC of Milk in Motion, on the reflexes that support successful feeding — postural stability, the gape reflex, and the suck reflex — plus a reminder that feeding starts with a supported, resourced parent, not a perfect latch. .co

Prenatal pelvic floor PT isn't about "fixing" anything — it's about understanding your body before one of the biggest physical events it will go through. 🤰 From breath work to how your pelvic floor responds under pressure, a little prep now can make a real difference during labor and recovery. And no, it's not just about Kegels — sometimes it's the opposite.

Katie Bayer, PT, DPT is breaking down why pelvic floor PT before delivery helps, right here on the Be Hive blog. Link in bio to read the full post 🐝

Postpartum psychosis has been in the news a lot lately, and we know it's brought up a lot of questions (and worry) for the moms and families in our community. 💛

So we're taking a step back to talk about what it actually is — and just as important, what it isn't.

It's serious, and it's also very treatable. Full recovery is the expected outcome with the right care. New post is up covering the symptoms and details. 🐝

Do you feel like you should feel more bonded to your baby during pregnancy… but don't?

You're not alone, and you're not failing. In our latest blog post, Prenatal Bonding Educator Ivana Lombardo shares why pregnancy connection often feels more gradual — even abstract — than we're told it "should," and gentle ways to start building familiarity with your baby before birth.

✨ Why prenatal prep can leave you feeling disconnected from the actual experience
✨ How to notice your baby's rhythms without turning it into another task
✨ Why connection doesn't have to be constant to be real
✨ How partners can be part of the bond too, not just bystanders

If pregnancy has felt more like a checklist than a relationship lately, this one's for you 💛
