Tip Tuesday: The Right Shoes Matter!
Supportive, well-fitting shoes can improve stability, support balance, and help reduce the risk of falls — making footwear an important part of healthy aging.
When choosing shoes, look for:
• Non-slip rubber soles for better traction
• Firm heel to keep feet stable
• A wide toe box for comfort and natural toe movement
• Secure closures like Velcro or laces instead of loose slippers or flip-flops
• Good support and cushioning to reduce strain on joints and feet
Enclosed, supportive shoes also provide an extra layer of protection for toes and feet.

Looking and feeling your best can make all the difference, and Chris is here to help our residents do just that! As the manager of our on-site salon, she provides professional hair care services in the comfort and convenience of our community every Tuesday and Thursday.
Whether it's a fresh haircut, a new style, or simply a little pampering, Chris helps our residents look their best while enjoying a fun and relaxing salon experience.
We're so grateful to have Chris as part of the Arcadia at Lookout Ridge family and for the care and confidence she brings to our residents each week!

Resident Saturday Spotlight: Meet Joan!

Joan has been part of the Lookout Ridge family for 6 years, and we’re so glad she’s here! A longtime Washougal resident, Joan grew up right here in the community and raised 5 children. She’s lucky to have most of her family nearby, and that close-knit family is something she treasures.
Around Lookout Ridge, you’ll often find Joan enjoying our activities, cheering on the games, and spending time socializing with the friends she’s made along the way. And if you ask Joan to describe herself, she’ll tell you exactly who she is: “I’m friendly and I love all people.”
We couldn’t agree more! Joan brings a warm and welcoming spirit to Lookout Ridge, and we’re grateful to have her as part of our resident family.

We honor the lives lost, the families who continue to carry their memories, and the first responders, firefighters, law enforcement officers, military members, and everyday heroes who showed extraordinary courage and compassion.
