Friendship doesn’t check the schedule. 😉💙💚

One of the best things about Daymark is watching friendships grow across our community! Whether you’re spending the day with us through our Daymark Days Day Program or you call Daymark home, there’s always someone ready to hang out, share a laugh, and make the day a little more fun.

Because at Daymark Living, it’s not just about programs or where you live—it’s about belonging, connection, and finding your people. 🫶

And judging by these smiles… Daymark friendships are pretty special. 💙💚

August at Daymark Living = a whole lot of LIFE! 💙💚

From outings and activities to new experiences, friendships, laughter, and plenty of everyday fun, August gave us so many moments worth remembering. ✨

At Daymark Living in Waxahachie, Texas, adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities have opportunities to build independence, stay active, develop meaningful friendships, and be part of a community where there’s always something happening.

Because independence isn’t just about learning life skills—it’s about having friends, experiences, choices, purpose, and a place to belong. 🫶

Here’s a little look back at another unforgettable month at Daymark! 🎥

What was your favorite Daymark moment from August? Tell us below! 👇

Grocery list? Check.
Budget? Check.
Keanna has a plan.

This week on Mondays with Molly, Dr. Molly is joined by her friend Keanna to talk about one of her favorite things to do at Daymark—go to the grocery store!

But a grocery trip at Daymark is about so much more than shopping. Before heading to the store, Keanna participates in Grocery Store Prep, where residents practice making a list, separating needs from wants, working within a budget, making choices and—sometimes the hardest part—putting something back and saving it for next time.

These everyday moments are where independence grows. 💙

Of course, Molly and Keanna also had plenty to discuss about pretty nails 💅, new braids, her sweet friend Sarah, going home for the holidays and the very important arrival of “gobble, gobble turkey” season. 🦃😂

It’s another sweet glimpse into what everyday life, friendship and growing independence can look like at Daymark Living.

Meet Big Trouble… and his partner in crime, Little Trouble. 😂💙

This week on Mondays with Molly, Dr. Molly sits down with her friend Jeff—better known around Daymark as “Big Trouble.”

Jeff has called Daymark home for five years, and he’s built a life here that is very much his own. He lives in a cottage, works two jobs, competes in sports, enjoys time with friends and, as he puts it, appreciates the freedom and independence he has at Daymark.

From working at MOD Pizza and the movie theater to basketball, Miracle League baseball and a few hilarious stories with Dr. Molly, Jeff stays busy. As he says, there’s “never a dull moment.” ❤️

But one of our favorite moments comes near the end, when Jeff shares why Daymark means so much to him:

“This place has been open seven years, and other people should be able to come and enjoy living here.”

That’s what Daymark Living is all about—creating a community where adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities can build friendships, find meaningful work, make their own choices and experience greater independence while knowing they belong.

And yes… we’re officially voting for BIG TROUBLE on the back of Jeff’s next baseball jersey. ⚾😂

⚾💙 Daymark at the Ballpark!

What better way to spend a Sunday afternoon than cheering on the Texas Rangers.

The Daymark crew had an incredible time at Down Syndrome Awareness Day at Globe Life Field — enjoying baseball, ballpark fun, great friends and a whole lot of Rangers spirit! ❤️⚾💙

A special thank you to The Burger Family Foundation, founded by Texas Rangers first baseman Jake Burger and his wife, Ashlyn, for their commitment to celebrating and supporting individuals with Down syndrome and their families. We are so grateful for organizations that help create opportunities for inclusion, connection and celebration. 💙💛

For our Daymark residents, experiences like this are about so much more than a baseball game. They’re about friendship, belonging, community and being part of something bigger.

We loved every minute of it. Go Rangers! ⚾❤️💙

“What are you doing?”

If you know Jason, you know there are ALWAYS questions — and usually plenty of laughs to go with them!

On this week’s Mondays with Molly, Dr. Molly sits down with one of the funniest guys at Daymark…and Jason quickly takes charge of the interview. 😂

Broccoli 🥦
M&Ms 🍫
Microphones 🎤
College 🎓
Facebook 📱
And approximately 847 questions. 😂

But that’s Jason — curious, funny, outgoing and completely himself. 💙 And that’s one of our favorite things about the Daymark community. Independence isn’t about everyone following the same path. It’s about having opportunities to learn, grow, build relationships and create a life that feels like your own.

Jason definitely keeps us smiling along the way.

How do we beat the Texas heat at Daymark Living? We make the most of it! 😎💦

When temperatures soar, our residents keep the fun going with a few smart adjustments:

🌿 We tackle outdoor projects in short, cooler spurts.
🎬 We head to the movies for an afternoon of fun in the A/C.
💧 We throw hydration parties to stay healthy and refreshed.
🏊 And of course... we cool off with plenty of time in the pool!

At Daymark Living, every day is about creating meaningful experiences while keeping the health, safety, and well-being of our residents first. Whether we're building independence, making memories, or simply finding creative ways to stay active during a Texas heat wave, there's always something to smile about.

How do you like to stay cool during the summer? ☀️💙

Sometimes the biggest moments aren't the ones you plan—they're the ones that help you realize just how capable you are. 💙

This week on Mondays with Molly, Cindy shares highlights from Daymark Living's trip to the National Down Syndrome Congress Annual Convention in Orlando.

From volunteering and making new friends to traveling independently, managing her Type 1 diabetes with confidence, and even riding her very first roller coaster at Disney World, Cindy's story is filled with courage, growth, and joy.

One of the most meaningful moments of the trip wasn't just what happened at the conference—it was seeing families with younger children inspired by adults who are living independently, volunteering, building friendships, and confidently navigating everyday life.

If you've ever wondered what the future could look like for your loved one with Down syndrome or another intellectual or developmental disability, this episode offers a glimpse into what's possible.
