Babies develop quick during the crucial first trimester. The start as something we can only see through a microscope to being the size of a peach by 12 weeks. This important developmental time means that it is also important you have the right care.

Finding a provider and scheduling your first prenatal appointments will help to ensure your baby is developing as it should.

📣 This Thursday - Join us for the Scott County Health Department 2026 Quad Cities Preeclampsia Awareness Walk!

We want to walk together to bring awareness to, and support families impacted by, preeclampsia. Preeclampsia is a serious high blood pressure condition that occurs during pregnancy. It can cause major health concerns for the mother and the baby.

✔ Hear guest speakers, including local moms

✔ Remember loved ones affected by preeclampsia

✔ Walk around Vander Veer as a group

✔ Visit with vendors and enjoy the park
