Q: Do you know how many babies are born around the world every minute?!

The Birthwork Foundation has had a very busy May and June so far, with lots of babies being born with assistance from our doulas.

We are accepting, expecting, and postpartum clients throughout the state of Iowa and Western Illinois.

A: about 266 babies are born every minute (that's a lot 🙃 we are nowhere near that number 🤣🤣)

We all know that motherhood isn't a solo adventure—it's much more fun with a village by your side! Traditionally, communities came together to help raise children, but nowadays, many moms can feel pretty isolated. That’s why it’s so important to create or refresh your support system for your mental health and happiness.

We’d love for you to join us on the 2nd and 4th Wednesdays of each month at 7 PM CST for a virtual meet-up led by a friendly mental health expert. We’ll chat about all things parenting and motherhood—it’s like having built-in buddies! Mark your calendars for Wednesday, June 10th, and we can’t wait to see you there!

What is a doula? Why are they so important in maternal healthcare? What difference do doulas make?

Doulas are trained professionals who provide continuous physical, emotional, and informational support during the prenatal period, labor and delivery, and in postpartum. Their goal? Helping families achieve their birth goals.
