Changing a youth player’s skating biomechanics takes thousands of quality repetitions.
Teach. Repeat. Create awareness. Encourage self-correction.
Lasting change happens when players learn to feel the difference, not just hear it.

Stop telling players everything.
Give them a key word. Let them perform. Then ask:

“How did that feel?”
“What did you notice?”
“What could you do better next rep?”
The best development happens when athletes learn to self-correct, not when coaches give constant answers.
Awareness → Adjustment → Mastery.

If you can’t do it, don’t teach it.
Athletes deserve coaches who can demonstrate the skill, not just talk about it.

Youth sports development isn’t about playing more games. It’s about repeating fundamental movement patterns until efficient movement becomes automatic.

Summer hockey is about development, not tournaments.

More reps.
More learning.
More confidence.
More fun.

Small improvements today become big results tomorrow.
