October 10th was World Mental Health Day, and the need for awareness has never been greater.💜

So many of us suffer in silence until we break down. We don’t have to keep postponing our mental health needs.

As women, we often take care of everyone else until we have nothing left to give. As healthcare providers, we pour ourselves into others without tending to ourselves. The system is broken, and it leaves us asking: “who takes care of the caregiver?”

Today, I hope you take time for yourself. I hope you take your mental health seriously. Don’t rush through life without enjoying its precious moments.

At Inner Balance, our goal is to help you navigate your mental wellbeing to the fullest. Give yourself permission to rest, reflect, and enjoy the moments that matter.

There was a time when I would say, “I’m not a Psych NP. Let me help you find a specialist who can help you.”

I said it many times.

But I also saw firsthand how difficult it can be to find mental health care. We simply do not have enough mental health providers.

I went back to school for several years to further my education and become a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner.

Now, as I get close to my one-year anniversary of opening Inner Balance Integrative-Wellness Center, I am incredibly hopeful and excited about what the future holds. ❤️

My goal is simple: to help one person at a time.

If you or someone you love is suffering in silence with depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, divorce, or a difficult life transition, please know that you don’t have to go through it alone.

And as healthcare professionals, we spend so much of our lives caring for others. That responsibility can take a toll on our own mental health, too. It is okay to take care of yourself.
