When people ask what The Verne Bintz Company does, the simple answer is that we provide products that help people walk more comfortably.
But the real answer is much bigger than that.
For 50 years, we've had the privilege of supporting the healthcare professionals who help people stay active, independent, and moving. Every heel lift, orthotic, fitting aid, and pedorthic accessory we provide is part of a much larger story—helping someone take a walk without pain, return to work, enjoy time with family, or simply stay active.
It's humbling to think about the thousands of lives that have been touched through the work of our customers over the past five decades.
My dad, Verne Bintz, often reminded us that our work was never just about the products. It was about the people whose lives those products would ultimately improve.
As we celebrate our 50th anniversary, we're grateful for the practitioners, customers, vendors, and friends who have been part of this journey. Thank you for allowing us to serve alongside you.

One of my dad's favorite sayings was:

"We do business the old-fashioned way."

People sometimes ask what that meant.

It meant answering the phone.

It meant knowing our customers by name.

It meant being honest, even when it wasn't the easiest choice.

It meant helping a customer buy only what they needed instead of trying to make a bigger sale.

It meant building relationships that lasted for decades.

As we celebrate 50 years, I'm reminded that while technology has changed, those values haven't.

They're still at the heart of everything we do at The Verne Bintz Company.

What an exciting year this has been for The Verne Bintz Company!

As we celebrate our 50th anniversary, we're also proud to share another important milestone.

We are now both a certified Women-Owned Small Business (WOSB) and a WBENC Certified Women's Business Enterprise (WBE).

Founded by Verne Bintz in 1976, our company has always been built on integrity, exceptional service, and lasting relationships. Today, I'm honored to carry those values forward while opening new opportunities for the future.

These certifications represent an exciting new chapter as we expand our work with government agencies, healthcare organizations, and industry partners—while continuing to serve the customers who have supported us throughout the years.

As our first anniversary month comes to a close, we simply want to say:
Thank you.

Thank you for your loyalty.
Thank you for your friendship.
Thank you for helping us celebrate 50 years of supporting healthy feet.

But we're not done yet.

Throughout the rest of 2026, we'll be sharing stories, memories, milestones, and lessons from the past 50 years. We'll celebrate the customers, vendors, employees, family members, and friends who helped make The Verne Bintz Company what it is today.

From our garage-and-basement beginnings in 1976 to serving customers across generations, this anniversary is about more than a company. It's about the people who have been part of the journey.

Before there was a warehouse, there was a garage and a basement.

My dad spent evenings and weekends making arch supports and heel levelers by hand.

As a teenager, I helped by trimming scaphoid pads, skiving leather, and stamping customer logos onto top covers. (Every teenager's dream. LOL)

Fifty years ago, someone told my dad that people would need more help with their feet in the future because shoes were becoming less supportive.

He listened.

In 1976, he founded The Verne Bintz Company.

Looking at this photo, I see more than a business. I see my parents, who worked hard to build something meaningful and who taught us the value of integrity, kindness, and treating customers like family.

As we celebrate our 50th anniversary, I'm grateful for the legacy my dad left behind and for all the customers and friends who have been part of our journey.
