AFC Urgent Care Wichita Achieves UCA Accreditation with Commendation in Antibiotic Stewardship

We are proud to announce that AFC Urgent Care Wichita has achieved Accreditation from the Commission on Ambulatory and Urgent Care Quality (CAUCQ), with a Commendation in Antibiotic Stewardship Specialty Training.

Accreditation recognizes our commitment to meeting established standards for quality, patient safety, clinical excellence, and continuous improvement in the urgent care setting.

Our clinical team is committed to evidence-based prescribing, ongoing provider education, and helping reduce unnecessary antibiotic use while ensuring that patients who truly need antibiotics receive appropriate treatment.

Twelve years ago we opened a small urgent care on Rock Road with a simple idea: people shouldn't have to choose between waiting weeks for an appointment and sitting in an emergency room for six hours.
That idea turned into a clinic that has cared for this city through flu seasons, broken arms, sports injuries, a pandemic, and more sore throats than we could count.
On September 30, we're bringing it to west Wichita.

Kindness is one of the most powerful tools in healthcare.

Every day at AFC Urgent Care Wichita, we have the privilege of caring for approximately 50 members of our community. While our mission is to provide excellent medical care, I believe kindness is just as important as clinical expertise.

Kindness should not stop with our patients—it should extend to our coworkers as well. We never truly know what someone is carrying. A colleague may be living with a chronic illness, caring for a loved one, or facing challenges that are invisible to others. As someone who lives with an autoimmune condition, I understand how meaningful a little patience, grace, and support can be.

A kind word, a helping hand, or simply showing understanding can make a lasting difference.

Let’s continue to build healthcare workplaces where compassion is not only something we give our patients but also something we freely give one another.

Kindness costs nothing, but it has the power to change someone’s day—and sometimes even their life.
