Dear Friends, Patients, Colleagues, and Business Associates:
It is with profound sadness that I share the passing of my beloved mother, mentor, and the founder of Commonwealth Clinical Services, Inc., Sandra Hurley, following a long and courageous battle with cancer.
Sandra was an extraordinary nurse, leader, and advocate whose intelligence, warmth, and vibrant spirit lit up every room she entered. She dedicated her life to serving others with compassion, integrity, and unwavering kindness. Whether caring for a patient, supporting a family, mentoring a colleague, or helping someone experiencing homelessness, Sandra believed every person deserved dignity, respect, and someone willing to stand beside them. Caring for others was never simply her profession—it was her life's calling.
Together with my late father, William Hurley, Sandra founded Commonwealth Clinical Services, Inc. With a simple but enduring mission: to provide exceptional, compassionate care while treating every patient and family with dignity and respect. Her vision, faith, and commitment to excellence became the foundation of our organization and remains at the heart of everything we do today.
Since Sandra's cancer diagnosis, she has gradually stepped back from the day-to-day operations of Commonwealth Clinical Services, Inc. and I have assumed responsibility under her guidance. As a result, our employees, patients, and business partners can be assured that our operations will continue without interruption, as our experienced leadership team remains in place and our commitment to exceptional patient care remains unwavering. The foundational values that Sandra built this organization upon will continue to guide every decision we make.
On behalf of our family and everyone at Commonwealth Clinical Services, Inc., thank you for the kindness, prayers, friendship, and trust you have shown Sandra throughout the years. Your support meant more to her than words can express, and we are deeply grateful for the confidence you continue to place in our organization.
As we say goodnight to a shining star, we also celebrate an extraordinary life defined by faith, compassion, integrity, and service. Sandra's light will continue to shine through the countless lives she touched, the organization she built, and the enduring legacy of care she leaves behind. While her presence will be deeply missed, her spirit will forever remain at the heart of Commonwealth Clinical Services, Inc.
