RISE Welcomes Teresa Holmes

of T-Lightful Sounds

My journey into sound meditation began during one of the most difficult chapters of my life, when my father, a musician, was diagnosed with lung cancer at just 48.

Sound baths became a sanctuary for me, offering peace and comfort beyond words. After he passed away a year later, I felt called to honor his musical legacy while following my own path. That calling led me to India, where I completed a 100-hour Nada Yoga certification in sound healing, an experience that deeply transformed my connection to sound, creativity, and self-discovery.

Raised by artists, creativity has always been a part of who I am, but sound healing is where I feel most aligned. My practice blends the teachings I learned in India with my own intuitive style, creating immersive and ethereal sound journeys using my voice, gong, crystal bowls, quartzophone, tuning forks, and other instruments. Through these sessions, I hope to offer others the same sense of peace, connection, and transformation that sound once gave me.

Our focus will be to move and awaken the body, find a mental respite from our busy lives, recharge our spirit, and fully enjoy our precious summer.

You will be encouraged to work at your own level to find the perfect practice that works for you. No experience is required, but you should be able to move from seated on your mat to standing without difficulty.

Registration is not required. Just drop in! Please bring a yoga mat if you have one; if not, borrow one from us. In the event of bad weather, we will meet inside the library.

We're so sure of what we can perceive through our 5 senses and so quick to dismiss information that comes from a more subtle place.

The irony is that what we can see, hear, smell, touch, taste, etc. is in a constant state of flux anyway.
